Dear Castle,

OMGWTFBBQ!!!!1eleventy.

xo,
me

The fanfic will be epic. Not all of it will be good. But there will be enough to get us through the summer, which I hereby dub The Summer of Angst.

Dear Smallville,

I haven't watched you yet, though I'm spoiled liek woah because a certain comm says that nothing is a spoiler if the ep has aired in the US. We will have Words when I've actually watched, though, you crazy ass nutball show.

not really feeling the love,
me

So, I've been poking around Smallville fandom. I haven't found a place where the crazies don't roam too widely, yet. Mainly just getting the feel of the place while I read fic and put off polishing off the rest of the eighth season so I don't have to wait OMG A WHOLE FREAKING MONTH WTF HURRY.

This has me to stumbling onto different 'ships and the smush names people have come up with. I actually don't see a lot of Lois/Oliver (which is WEIRD, you'd think there would be more, but I'm not actively looking for it, either), but when I come across it I see it labeled as 'Lollie' (*twitch*). Honestly? Every time I see that name, this song pops into my head:

Sister is gone. Weather is crappy. No new Iron Man fic.

If you'll excuse me, I have a date with Battlestar Galactica and some popcorn. :D

(And I see why people are on about Kara/Lee. Dude.)

That is what I loved about Grey's. God, what an episode. It's not what it used to be, but I could totally get used to watching episodes like this. If only because spoilersCollapse )

I just spoiled myself big time for the last episode of Foyle's War, and I admit to skipping most of the plot stuff because I just found out it's playing on TVO, but I have to say that I'm pleased the way things with Sam turned out. I know, I know. But in my little secret shippy heart, I am melty and happy. :)

Dear people in charge of Bones:

Do you see that sign? It says DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS. But can you read? Noooo. You made a baby episode. Where they take care of a baby. YOU FED THE FUCKING ANIMALS. It's bad enough already, but now you won't be able to *spit* without hitting babyfic. I know you like to challenge the status quo and everything, and that means Brennan hitting the children issue a few times, but do you not KNOW that no one in TV land cares about the character? And will henceforth think she will pop out a couple dozen little boothlings at the first opportunity?

YOU SUCK.

Please for to be not relying on stupid shitty cliched plots, and give me decent murders.

No love AT ALL,

Thren

===

But it was still kind of cute. And I swear to god I could tell the babies apart. Plus, I am totally vindicated on the Brennan and foster parent issue. Take THAT, reviewer who thought I was wrong. Hah!

P.S. Booth in the Angel!coat? Was really hot. >.> What?

My sister is awesome. I came home tonight and she had CLEANED MY ROOM. Seriously. The place was a pit. My stuff all over the place, and hers piled on top of my piles... And my desk was worse. You had to shift the pile to be able to see the taskbar on the monitor. And the monitor is on a shelf. Now it is all CLEAN. Of course, you take your life into your hands if you open the closet door, but still!

I watched TV today! Well, shows. Last week's CSI (that Sara/Grissom thing with the whorehouse and the 'I don't think I make you sad'? That made for a squishyhappy Thren. Yes it did), and last night's Bones. My thoughts on which are under the cutCollapse )

Finally got to see Bones last night.

I'm sorry, did he just call her 'babe'?Collapse )

All in all, an enjoyable episode. Not as awesome as I thought it would be, somehow, but enjoyable all the same. I did feel like I needed some wine to go with all the cheese, but it is a cheesy show and I tend to forget that. Really could have done without the montage and the singing, though (heh, apparently singing is a turn on for Booth, because he totally looked like he was going to leap over the table and take her right there). Really. I hate singing. And now that burst of singing fics on ff.net is going to have canon backup, and for the next five years we're going to have nothing but stories where they sing over Thai food. I weep for the fandom.

And that's all I've got. Comments and discussion welcomed, I miss all the oohing and aaahing that comes with new eps. Stupid work. :\

Because I stayed up to five am to watch it and only just made the bus to work by the skin of my teeth, a late impressions/reviewish thing.

I totally need to watch this again.Collapse )

And the best news of all, it's been renewed for a third season! EEEEE!

God, I'm such a fangirl. *shame*

So, I just watched Bones.Collapse )

And now, since I'm going to miss the library to pick up my books (hope they're there tomorrow still), I have to burn the next Temperance Brennan novel to disk so I can listen to it at work. That is desperation, my friends. I hate audio books. Besides the weirdness of it all, it's hard for me to fully concentrate on two things at once (I tune out music a lot of the time, just have it on for noise), the people read too slowly, and I plain old just don't absorb information as well as I do from text. And yet I can't wait until tomorrow to get the damn novel. Pity me.

I'm still five bucks short for what I need, but I hauled my US change out of the closet and with the exchange rate, I'll make it. God, this is pathetic. I'll be late to work, but really? This trumps work. So wish me luck. I called and I can indeed make the payment tomorrow, when I'll have work monies in the account to make up the stupid five bucks. Yay for no embarrassment!

And now I have fifteen minutes to cruise Bones posts from last night. :D

Six of the crappiest hours of sleep EVAR. The phone was rining off the freaking hook this morning. Twice someone else got it, once it was Elizabeth to wish the twins a happy birthday, once it was the shrink's office to tell me I have an appointment on April 5th at 2 (oh, right before work. THEY TAUNT ME), and then Gilly called to tell me she forgot to bring lunch. (I like working at the same place. We carpool lunches. :P She only eats after I start work, so she can pilfer from my bag.)

But anyway. I am posting my thoughts and impressions of last night's Bones here. Stealing from myself from a comm. Because I'm lazy. This is all disjointed and train of thought derailed at station and very very spoilery for 2x11 - Judas On A PoleCollapse ).

So... Thoughts?

I put King of the Hill on in the background for the dogs while I'm upstairs playing Sims, and my sister walks by and goes, 'is that Alan Rickman?' And it is! *ded from weirdness* It's funny and disturbing all at once.

Also, happy birthday to my dearest livii who is so far away. I hope you get all the kinks of the new life sorted out soon, and that you have a great year. :)

livii! You don't have to hate me anymore! CTV has picked up Veronica Mars! It doesn't say when on the site, but someone in a comm posted it starts on June 2 at 8pm. Take that as you will.

This also means I don't have to miss the new season when I'm back in Canada. YAY! *kermitflail*

It would seem that a (tentative-ish) list of kept and upcoming shows for next season is out.

Looks craptastic to me. I mean when you're down to 'religious drama' (O.o), not one but TWO shows set in fertility clinics, sitcoms about people telling thieir families they're gay, and have on your 'omg it's gonna be a hit!' roster names like Shaun Cassidy, Neil Patrick Harris and Donnie Wahlberg? Um. I think I'll be over here with some books.

On the other hand, CSI:NY doesn't appear to be on their list, but I haven't had my ear to the grapevine about whether that's actually cancelled (*crosses fingers*) or they just forgot it on the list.

Also, happy birthday to ginger92!
