And if you are like me, with a household of 5 or more then be rest assured you will spend between 800KWh to 1000KWh for power if you get at least 18 hours of power on the average.

What Does a 188MW Geometric Power Plant Mean for Residents of Aba?
Here are my immediate thoughts on this very important milestone in the future of the power sector in Nigeria.
The power arrangement is an Embedded Power where power is generated close to the point of consumption, typically within an industrial or commercial facility or a specific geographic area.
In the case of Geometric Power Aba Ltd (GPAL) In the case of GPAL, it means that the power plant is located near Aba, where the electricity demand exists, rather than being part of a large centralized grid.
Power will thus be ring fenced to the 9 local government that will be impacted giving them 24/7 power.

The exchange rate between the Lebanese currency and the dollar plummeted from 1,500 to as low as 34,000/$1 in 2019.
This is how it happened
For context, a friend was drawing parallels between Nigeria's forex crisis and what Lebanon is currently experiencing. So, I thought to do a thread on Lebanese forex crisis.

For the first time ever my neighbors and I experienced 24/7 power supply for the whole of 2022.
ICYDK, some estates in this country have experience 24/7 power for years now.
Anyways, how did we achieve this?
It started in 2021 when we were approached by an independent power operator to takeover our internal power supply. This includes grid supply from Eko Disco.
We are making progress in reverse mode.
According to the report from the Minister of finance aggregate government revenue between Jan to Nov 2022 is N6.49 trillion while debt service is N5.24 trillion.
Meanwhile, actual recurrent non-debt expenditure is N5 trillion
So basically, we are borrowing to service debt. 🤷🏽♂️

So the craziest thing just happened to me today.
I meant to transfer N15k to a colleague NA yesterday and typed the account number. Logged into my banking app initiated transfer and completed transaction.
If only I knew...
Then today my colleague whom I was to transfer to buzzed and said she had not received the money. I’m like I transferred to you nau.
And then she is like hope you didn’t transfer to someone else oh!
That’s when all the hairs on my body rose. How can?

MTN’s 2019 Half year revenue was N566.9 billion
Half year profits was N98 billion
Its shareholders equity is N101.3b
Return on Equity is 95% (half year only).
Tell me why this isn’t God owns Company??
MTN total assets is about N1.48 trillion and return on assets of 6.6%.
With a return on equity of 95%, MTN basically relies on OPP to make money.
No sweeter business model than that. Why in this world will they ever bother with an IPO?? Why??
