a) You release an offsec tool without releasing corresponding detections or defenses

b) You publish a commercial offsec tool but forbid defensive orgs from acquiring your software

🖕 I get this makes things "harder" or potentially reduces "value" for resale, but it DOES make an entity a "good citizen" in the network defense space. But maybe that doesn't matter, I dunno
