The empathy those racist white kids who taunted the Native American elder are receiving isn’t a display of humanity. It’s indicative of how pervasive white supremacy is in America. Black boys & girls never get this much nuance.
You’re not showing empathy when you feel bad for those racist children. You’re showing a lack of humanity, and your racism, because you see more nuance in children taunting a Native American while wearing the latest iteration of a confederate flag (or swastika) on their head.

I just opened up my bag of Ghost Pepper Potato Chips from Trader Joe’s and there’s a whole ass potato in the bag. I’m not kidding. An entire potato. I can’t even take the bag back cuz who the hell is gonna believe a full potato was in it. They’re just gonna say I put it in there.
I’m so disappointed right now. I was looking forward to eating some ghost pepper chips and all I got was a couple of soggy chips and a potato. I opened up the bag, saw the potato, and thought to myself, “Ain’t no damn way there’s a potato in my bag of potato chips.” But it was.

The 2016 presidential vote and 2018 midterm elections solidifies, for me, that the black vote will always remain consistently progressive/do the right thing. We never miss a beat. Folks have already said this, but the left needs to start focusing exclusively on voter reform.
No one really needs to lecture blacks folks on the importance of voting. They just need to make it easier, more accessible for us, and eliminate prisoners losing their vote. Their lectures need to be aimed towards white women and Latinos, collectively.

I’m from Birmingham, Alabama. Let me tell y’all right now, white folks in Alabama do not care if Roy Moore touched a 14yr old girl. It will not stop them from voting from him. If any of you think Christian values matter to white Alabama voters, you do not know my state.
The State of Alabama overwhelmingly voted for Trump, a man who bragged about sexually assaulting women. White Alabama voters consider Trump more of a Christian than Obama. Please understand, Roy Moore could squish a kitten on live TV, and they’d say the kitten had it coming.
