Jesus said with faith the size of a mustard seed a mountain could be commanded to move from one place to another. “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Matthew 17:20)

After This Manner 🧵

One of Jesus’ disciples seeing Jesus praying to His Father, asked a special request of Him. The disciple said, “LORD, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” (Luke 11:1) So many believers today ignore the model Jesus gave. Instead of coming to the Father humbly, in Jesus’ Name, recognizing their need — often, their prayers sound more like demands.

Suddenly 🧵

Are you ready for the sudden coming of the LORD? “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the LORD so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3)

Prodigal 🧵

There is nothing more grievous to a parent or grandparent than to watch their children suffer due to their own sinful choices.

Years spent nurturing and teaching them the Word of God are abandoned for the temporary pleasures of sin. The father in the story in Luke knew such grief. His son went to a far country and wasted everything he’d been given. Seeking pleasure — he eventually ended up wishing to have some of the food that he was given to feed the pigs. Even that was denied him.

It’s Not in Vain 🧵

Sometimes we all wonder, “Is what I’m doing — trusting in the Lord, and attempting to walk in obedience to His Word and tell others about Him in vain?” Beloved child of God — we mustn’t go by our feelings to find the answer to our question. We mustn’t go by what our eyes see. Our only true answer comes from His Word.

There will be times in our lives that feelings of despair, fear, defeat, and hopelessness creep into our hearts. We are human. It is at times such as these that we are held by our loving Father. He knows our weakness and He knows our heart. His grace will carry us when we can’t walk — or even crawl.

There’s one thing that sets Christianity apart from all other religions — Our Savior was raised from the dead — Jesus is alive! When Mary Magdalene, Jesus’ mother Mary, Salome, and the other women came to the tomb where Jesus’ body was laid to anoint Him with spices — He was not there!

If you read the messages I write — Eyes on Him will be very familiar to you. But as important as it is for us to keep our eyes on Him — it is also just as important to know that His eyes are on us. The Word tells us this, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)

The Simplicity of the Gospel 🧵

The professing church today is not unlike the church in Corinth. Instead of walking in the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ, many have added to God’s Word — the Word He inspired and preserved for us in the form of the Bible. The old and the New Testaments. Both speak of Jesus Christ.

Paul was so concerned about this he wrote one of many letters to the churches.

A Warning from Scripture and Personal Experience 🧵

Friends, as a Christian who once deeply supported the “Great Awakening” and Q-adjacent ideas, I need to share a sober warning from Scripture and personal experience. 2/ Over ten years ago, in prayer, I believed the Lord showed me Donald Trump would win and expose evil. I poured countless hours into promoting him — often neglecting my family — convinced this was God’s plan.

God created us for real relationship and love with Him. True love cannot be forced — it must be chosen freely. That’s why He gave humanity genuine free will.

2/ If God had made our sinful desires extremely weak (almost no struggle), then choosing Him would require almost no faith, sacrifice, or real love. It would be shallow and robotic.

Nothing New 🧵

Evil is not new. At some point in the ageless past where perfect harmony once existed — Lucifer rebelled against God.

It wasn’t enough for him that he dwelt in heaven with the LORD God as the anointed cherub. We read an allegory in Ezekiel of Lucifer’s fall in a story about the literal king of Tyre, who fell as well.

The Worst Kind of Deception 🧵

We are told in God’s Word that the last days will be marked by great deception. What greater deception is there than to be deceived by your own self? “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” (Galatians 6:3)

Unseen Impact 🧵

I’m sure there must have been times when Paul was discouraged, wondering if his words written to the churches would make any impact. He had no idea that these letters — and others written personally to Timothy, Titus, Philemon and others — would not only impact his day but would echo for all time to come.

Living Purposefully for Him 🧵

Sometimes we get so caught up in our lives that we forget that our days are numbered. Even if we are blessed to live long lives — the time we have here will go by quickly. Moses said this, “For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.” (Psalm 90:4)

Out of Order 🧵

It’s no wonder that our world is out of order. God has established order in all things. He is not a God of confusion, yet men, in their attempts to fulfill the desires of the flesh, live by laws they themselves have created in the world, in the church, and in their homes.

Apathy 🧵

Is your heart grieved when you see the wickedness around you? If not why? Have you become hardened to sin because it has become so common? The Word of God tells us that in the last days, “The love of many will grow cold.”

Beloved, has your heart grown cold? We should weep when we see moral degradation — not only in the world around us, but in those who are called by the Name of Christ.

Rearview Mirror 🧵

Do you ever look back at your life and take inventory? Looking back can be helpful as long as we don’t stay there. Jeremiah looked back at his life, and when he did, he remembered his sin and what the consequences of it were. It was humbling for him to remember where he’d been.

A Note from My Heart 🧵

My heart is so heavy, and I want to honestly try to explain why.

I love our country and so desire to see God’s mercy and blessing upon it. However, I am deeply grieved by what I see happening among many Christians today. While celebrating certain of President Trump’s policies and “good works,” like his support for Israel, we are increasingly turning a blind eye to clear Biblical issues — especially the sanctity of life and God’s design for marriage and family.
