Thinking Functionally Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we use, collect, share, and store your information at www.thinkingfunctionally.org (“Thinking Functionally”, “us”, “we”, or “our”). By clicking “I agree” or by submitting any information to us you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Thinking Functionally is the owner and operator of the Thinking Functionally website including any software or other components (the “Platform”) which collects information from you (“you”, “your”, or “user”).  

Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may revise it from time to time. If you do not agree with or accept our Privacy Policy in its entirety, you must not access or use the Platform. If you use the Platform following a change to the terms of this Privacy Policy you agree to accept the revised policies.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Platform that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Do Not Track

If you decide to provide us with your information, you agree that we may send you communications via emails or other electronic communication services.  However, you may unsubscribe from certain communications by notifying Thinking Functionally that you no longer wish to receive these communications, we will attempt to promptly remove you from our list once we have received that request.   Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to “Do Not Track” or similar signals. Data Security

We use industry standard measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Platform. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Platform.

Children Under the Age of 18

Our Platform is not intended for users under the age of 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or on the Platform. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on this Platform or through any of its features, or provide any information about yourself to us, including any Personal Information. Your information may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction.  Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.  Information shall be collected, processed, stored, disclosed and disposed of in accordance with any applicable United States’ (“US”) laws. If you are not from the US acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your Information and disclose it to other entities outside your resident jurisdiction. In addition, such information may be stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction US law may not provide the degree of protection for information that is available in other countries.
