What do you think of my first Etsy listing in years, Ellis?

Wait. You listed my rug? That means I can’t sit on it anymore. I’m AGAINST that 100%.” ~ the elli-belli.

Maybe you’ll have a better reaction to Wytch One?!

enjoy the day!

Wytch One? stocking…

I recently got to puppy/kitty sit for my sister-in-law and her husband.

Roxy is a year old puppy and Oh3 is a lovely marmalade with 3 legs. There are three other kitties, but they were too busy to be photographed.

I decided to take my punch needle supplies with me, and for the first time in several years, started a project.

Why I started with such a large creation instead of something small and simple, I don’t know. (You can find my Wytch One? patterns by clicking here and here.) However, you can see that I’m using my beloved Valdani perle cotton, 2 strands, size 12. I’m not sure if I’m going to use all the colors, but I like to keep my options open.

I’ve made Halloween stockings before, and they’re great fun, though somewhat labor intensive. Here are some from the past:

What do you think of my stockings Oh3?

Did you see that bird?” – the kitty-mew

Roxy, I know you’re interested in socks, what do you think?

Let’s play ball inside!” – Miss Roxy-doxy

I make a start, regardless of distractions.

Wish me luck!

Wytch One? almost done…

I finished the hooking, pressing and stitching down the linen foundation of my Wytch One? rug.

Ellis, may I take a picture of the rug without you?

”No.” ~ the elli-belli

Oh well. You get the idea, and as soon as I add the wool binding and an ID label, I’ll take the rug outside and get a photo sans cat.

Enjoy the weekend!

Wytch One? rug…

Since finding my Wytch One? patterns, I decided to hook up a rug.

Here’s one I hooked YEARS ago.

And here’s one I made for my mom in 2009 that my sister has.

I drew my pattern on my background and picked out some wool.

I’ll include more colors as I go along.

Do you like my color choices, Ellis?

”I’ll get back to you after the dishwasher gets done.” ~ the Eli-belli

Be well!

progress…

I’ve been working steadily on my new hit-n-miss project.

Miss Mudge has been a great supervisor.

So has Georgie-porgie,

and little Henry, too.

Henry’s definitely the boss, aren’t you Henry?

”Boss-in-a-box, that’s me.” ~ King Henry

I’m grateful for the support from all three kitties. With their help, I’ve managed to use up a grocery bag of wooly worms.

With luck, Mudge, George, Henry and I will finish this 14”x45” rug before my sister returns!

Enjoy the day!

New rug…

I saw an antique hit-n-miss rug online that I thought would be a simple design for using up some of my woolly worms.

I didn’t take a screenshot of it because the photo was copyrighted, so I can’t share the original with you, however, with some help from a friend I drew it on my backing.

I’m house sitting for my sister and her kitties like to assist with most projects.

How am I doing, Mudge?

”you’re doing okay.” ~ the Mudgie

After Mudge approved of my backing I drew the design.

I’m planning to use mostly my hand dyed wool in soft colors.

Wish me luck!

Wytch One? x 2

I just found another Wytch One? pattern:

Screenshot

why it says “screenshot”, I don’t know. It doesn’t say that on the photo I uploaded, and since my understanding of how to use my blog is nearly in the negatives I can’t remove it. However, it shouldn’t interfere with your use of the pattern.

Here’s the other Wytch one?, too:

Again, feel free to use this pattern for any medium. You may sell your finished handmade goods, but please do not sell the pattern as your own, or use it for commercial production. And, please give me credit as the pattern creator.

be well!

Wytch One?

I’ve been looking and looking for my pattern for Wytch One? for years! I finally found it in my iPhoto “rug” album. How did it get there?

Do you know, Ellis?

”who, me?” ~ the elli-belly

Well, it doesn’t matter how it got there. The important thing is I can share it with you, again. So, here it is:

Feel free to use this pattern for any medium. You may sell your finished handmade goods, but please do not sell the pattern as your own, or use it for commercial production. And, please give me credit as the pattern creator.

Enjoy!

Maybe I’ll be inspired. And if you are, and would like to share your finishes with me, I would love to see them and post your work here (if I can figure out how)!
