Meet The Team
Ankan Bhowmick
Ankan Bhowmick has been writing for FanSided since March 2025. He is currently the Site Expert for Newcastle Toons and also a Contributor to The Pride of London and The Real Champs. Ankan loves the beautiful game that is football and enjoys sharing his views and analysis through his articles.
Ben Gray
Ben has been a full-time football writer since 2018, covering soccer for FanSided, specialising in the Premier League and European soccer. He has previously written for numerous online publications, most recently writing for Football Fan Cast. Ben has attended (roughly) 700 matches at the time of writing- it's hard to keep count! The top 3 stadiums he's visited would be San Siro, Bernabéu and Allianz Arena in Munich. He has a first-class degree from UCFB Wembley in sports media.
Devin Leveque
Devin is a contributor for FanSided who covers global football and basketball with a direct, honest, and analytical voice. A lifelong Real Madrid supporter, Devin doesn’t shy away from critiquing his team or favorite players, especially when no one else wants to say it out loud. He has spent years teaching languages and traveling the world, experiences that sharpened his ability to see multiple perspectives before weighing in. Although he hasn’t yet been featured on major platforms, Devin has a lot to say, so enjoy, or at the very least, bear with him.
Joe Soriano
Joe Soriano is the Site Expert for Hotspur HQ and a Contributor for The Real Champs who has extensive experience covering soccer and American football. He began writing about baseball in 2011 for FanSided and had his work featured at many outlets, even co-authoring the book "Cincinnati Reds IQ: The Ultimate Test of True Fandom". Joe was a Site Expert at Musket Fire, NFL Spin Zone, Daily DDT, and The Real Champs from 2012 to 2022, running some of FanSided's most successful sites and winning multiple awards for his work, including an induction to the FanSided Hall of Fame. He has watched professional sports regularly since 2002 and can be found playing the same sports he covers with his friends.
Kian Long
Kian Long is the Editorial Director for FanSided's Soccer Division and a sports fan his entire life. Kian has been part of the FanSided team since 2017 and has both written and edited thousands of articles across the division. When he's not watching soccer, Kian is probably watching WWE, throwing darts, or telling his cats to quit scratching the couch. Reach out to Kian at [email protected]
Matthew Guyett
Matthew Guyett is a freelance writer with two and a half years of experience writing for Sportskeeda’s European football team. During his time with the company, he reached 25.5 million reads and become one of the European football team's most actively read sports writers. Matthew joined FanSided as a Site Co-Expert for Red Devil Armada. He also joined GiveMeSport as a Premier League Features Writer in August 2024.
