Description

Columbus - 2.5

It goes without saying that the goal of a real estate website is to drive more leads. But what's the best way to do this? Is it better to dazzle visitors with digital velvet and mahoghany? Or should you ditch the expensive decor and let your inventory speak for itself? With Columbus, you don't have to choose. Columbus' borderless look will give your website an understated elegance, while its green and blue accents will make your listing details jump off the page. Perfect for both individual agents and single-office agencies, Columbus is ideal for displaying multiple property listings, with a two-column layout and top-level page navigation. It's also fully customizable, so you can make it your own, and SEO optimized, which means you’ll get even more compliments on your feng shui. Use with <a href="https://placester.com/">Placester</a>'s <a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/placester/">Real Estate Builder plugin</a>.

Required
-First of all, the theme must work without the plugin.
-The theme should not overwrite the users settings, such as the site title and description, and the number of posts to show on the front page.
-The theme does not show the latest posts on the front page even if the user has chosen that setting.
-The slider on the front page is empty, and I cannot find any information on how to add content to the slider, so I'm assuming this is added via the plugin?

Plugin territory
There are a lot of things in the theme options that needs to be removed because it's plug-in territory:
Basically: any options that the user would want to keep if he/she changes themes, should be moved to your companion plugin or replaced by another recommended plugin.
Lets look at the options:
Currency Symbol - Is the currency likely to change only because of a theme change? No- it is theme independent and should be in the plugin.
Analytics Tracking Code -Is the tracking code, or the need for a tracking code, likely to change because of a theme change? No
Personal Info -Is the users name likely to change only because of a theme change? Not likely.

Well, you get the general idea, please ask if you have any questions.

The same goes for the framework, it seems like a lot of the framework is not used for the theme and there are things that would never be allowed, were it active, such as the custom post types and removing items from the admin bar.

I'm not comfortable testing the theme with the plugin if I need to exchange my email for an api key. The very least you could do for the end users is disclose how the e-mail would be used.
