Issue 01:

We are using Material Icons from Google Icons Using the icons in HTML like:

<span class="material-icons">face</span>

which uses a typographic feature called ligatures, which allows rendering of an icon glyph simply by using its textual name. The replacement is done automatically by the web browser and provides more readable code than the equivalent numeric character reference.

Hi @kafleg

I don't think so, <span class="material-icons">face</span> this face text inside the span tag is not for a translatable string, because the Google Material Icon renders icon based on this default text (Icon name).

If face text is translated to another language, then Material Icon can't render the Face icon based on the translated text because the default text (Icon name) will be changed.
