We don’t believe in the idea of “cheating on your hairdresser”, instead, we’d love for you to book in with the stylist that suits you best, who aligns with your hair goals, budget, schedule and beyond… and that might just mean that you see multiple folks in the space, depending on what you’re looking for.
Here’s a little peek at our team. We work with many other folks, artists and makers throughout the space and within the community, but these next few faces are the ones who “host the party” on a regular basis.

Kristina opened the doors to The Junction Creative Studio in Sept 2015 and hasn’t looked back since. She started her career in hairdressing in 2006 and is passionate about education, teamwork, creativity and community. Kristina is a morally driven leader who is constantly learning, growing, evolving and dreaming. Kristina offers mentor pricing, based on her level of advanced education and experience in the industry.

Brittany aka Brid, Birdy, Brit started hairdressing in 2013 and joined The Junction Hair team in July of 2018. Brit is a very talented hairstylist, she’s hilarious, easy to talk to and loves to explore. Bird is constantly taking education both in the hair industry and beyond… she’s currently working on a degree in psych nursing! Brittany offers Specialty pricing due to her advanced skill set and demand. To book with Bird, please reach out to her directly, or you can give us a call at The Junction.

“Hello, I’m Karli Jessup (she/they), owner, artist & witch behind Jessup’s General Store: Magical Clothing, Art & Accessories. I studied art at the University of Regina and specialised in printmaking. After graduation, myself and fellow printmaking graduates (Em Ironstar, Caitlin Mullan and Amber Hanover) started up Articulate Ink, Regina’s longest running print collective. In 2017 I had a calling to start my own shop and at the end of that year, Jessup’s General Store was launched. I design all of the products and screen print the clothing myself. Quality is top priority and everything is small run and unique!
Art reflects life and there have been some pivotal moments that have led me to exploring themes of occultism in my work. There is magic in everything right down to what you choose to wear every day. If you wear something you feel good in, it raises your vibration. I put a lot of intention into my designs and I like to think of my clothing as wearable magic.
I am very excited to be part of the Junction team! I have always loved the space and most importantly the people!

Mel joined us at The Junction in October 2023, and we LOVE working along-side this rad human! Mel has always had a passion for hair, growing up she would always style her sisters and friends hair, so it was no surprise to anyone when she enrolled to go to Avant-Garde in 2019. Mel has such an approachable, relaxed personality and a fun sense of humor. As a stylist, her goal to make her clients feel welcome, comfortable and leave with their dream hair. Mel loves cutting short hair, anything from clipper cuts, barbered styles or lived-in short looks. Want a new, short haircut? Book in with Mel!

Bre graduated from Avant-Garde in July 2024 and is very excited to get started with us here at The Junction. They have such approachable energy, are so open-minded and is a lover of all things different and weird and unique! Bre is looking forward to honing in on bright, fun colours, shaggy/textured looks, mullets, alternative looks, also long layers, blondes and a good blow out!
Once you get to know Bre, you’ll soon realize that they love to love everything, people, plants, animals.. they will hype you up the entire time you’re here, “I love to be a cheerleader for people!”
Bre is offering Portfolio Pricing behind the chair. You will also see Bre hosting the party, assisting and wearing many many hats to help The Junction run smoothly.
