CONGRATULATIONS to the 2026 CMP Scholarship Recipients!<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Civilian Marksmanship Program is proud to provide this scholarship program for deserving high school seniors who excel in marksmanship! The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) offers $3,000, $5,000 and $10,000 one-year scholarship assistance to qualified junior marksmen in order to encourage and reward their outstanding efforts. In 2026, up to one million will be awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

**NEW**<\/strong> In 2026, the CMP will present a $10,000 scholarship that will be renewable for 4 years<\/strong> (Total value of the scholarship awarded: $40,000)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMP will also present not just one, but FOUR $5,000 scholarships that will be renewable for 4 years <\/strong>(Total value of each scholarship awarded: $20,000)<\/em>. The \u201cCarolyn Hines Memorial Scholarship\u201d<\/strong> will be awarded to the top graduating senior who best exemplifies Dr. Hines\u2019 ideals. Three additional scholarships will be awarded to top seniors to commemorate the retirement of longtime CMP Board members Judith Legerski, Jon Bengston and Harry Sieben, who were all devoted to sustaining youth activities. The overall applicants will be determined by members of the CMP Scholarship Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remaining CMP Scholarships<\/strong> are one-year awards that may be used to fund any accredited college, university, technical\/trade school or vocational program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generously, the Garand Collectors Association<\/a><\/em><\/strong> has presented four additional $5,000 John C. Garand Scholarships<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scholarship Program will also award up to 30 $1,000<\/strong> CMP Local Scholarships<\/strong> in the Anniston\/Oxford, Alabama, Talladega, Alabama, and Ottawa County, Ohio areas. Seniors are encouraged to apply and no marksmanship experience<\/strong> is required to apply for the CMP local scholarships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The scholarships are paid directly to the scholarship recipient. All scholarships will be sent via electronic deposit (ACH). The scholarship may then be used to pay other educational fees or expenses that are not covered by other awards or grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CMP seeks applications from high school seniors who currently compete in marksmanship competitions. Based on merit, selected individuals should be currently enrolled in a team or club that is participating in marksmanship competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
