Macedonian Army 2

These are some Thureophoroi or Thorakitai I originally painted for my late republican roman army, but thanks to my basing I'll be able to use them for my upcomming Macedonian/Seleucid/Successor Armys as well. Decals are once again by Little Big Me´n Studios. I'll try to picturise all the miniatures I finished the last year but didn't put on the blog yet in the upcomming days.   PS: as I used them in various tournaments already, some of them lost their spear. Seems I'll have to start a repeairing action soon. :/

Saracen Archers and some more

As the tournament in Hamburg is getting closer, I was still in need for some apropriate miniatures. Thats why I had to paint a unit of saracen archers, some light foot crossbowman and another unit of knights. Have a look yourselves:

More 15mm Medieval

In The Worlds 2016 touirnament in Charleroi, Belgium, I finished 10th of 30 competitiors playing a Wars of the Roses Yorkist army. Not only the belgian beer prooved to be quite effective, so did ,y unit of Liht Hores with Lances. To bad they were borrwed at that time. Luckily there were a lot of suppliers arround and one of thme hat some Corvus Belli miniatures to offer, which are sadly not produced anymore. I decided buying a untit of these Light Horse, and here they are: But not only these few miniatures got finished last week. As there is a tournament in Hamburg coming closer, some more miniatures have to be painted. As I still had some basecoated, but not jet started crossbows waiting for colour, I decided starting with these. I don't think they'll prove as a good option to take in your Field of Glory army, but everyone sho...

Macedonic Pikes WIP+1

Today I was able to wash these Macedonic Pikesman produced by outpost wargames, so you can see the detail much better than on te pictures bevore. The gloss appeared because the wash had no time to dry when I took the picture. These 4 poses appear in the Mac2 Pack, which contains 8 miniatures.

15mm Outpost Wargames Mac2 review

Yesterday my Macedonian DBA army II/15 arrived. On the pictures you can see two of the Mac2 pacs produced by outpost wargames. The miniatures are highly detailed casted, but their pikes are looking like trunks carried arround. You'll see further more pictures if they are washed, so you can see the detail much better.

Quick update

Now one road for 15mm minis.

Made my own DBA Table

Yesterday I made my first DBA table: The premissions was to make a simple, open for all terrain, and fine looking as well as handy one. Firstly I cut my plywood in the mid in two halfes each 60*60 cm or 24*24 inches. Next I cutted my grasmat to 63*63 and put the wood in the middle. Then I stapled the mat on the back and clued the edges so the edges can not shear. I'm happy with it and only have to build some hills and woods.

DBA Army is slowly growing
