CSIR NET 2026 Exam Overview

The CSIR NET 2026 exam is scheduled twice a year. The exam dates for the June session have been announced. The exam is held to recruit JRFs & Assistant Professors. The exam is an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted for Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Earth Sciences.

CSIR NET Syllabus for Part A

The CSIR NET Part A syllabus for all the 5 streams is the same. Different sections of the CSIR NET part A syllabus are Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Data Interpretation & Graphical Analysis. Out of 200 marks, Part A carries 30 marks. 20 questions are asked in Part A, and candidates can attempt any 15. Each question carries 2 marks.
