The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the CSIR NET Final Answer Key 2026 download link on 29th August 2026. The final key is available for Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences. The steps to download the NTA CSIR NET answer key are given below.

Step 1: Click the direct link given above to download CSIR UGC NET Answer Key.

Step 2: Cross-check the answer key displayed for each question.

Step 3: Download the answer key and cross-check on the screen.

Step 4: Alternatively, you can visit the CSIR NET official website.

Step 5: From the Home Page click the Result Section.

Step 6: On the result section, click on the link stating CSIR Net Answer Key and download the subject-wise answer key.

How to Challenge CSIR NET Answer Key?

The steps to challenge the NTA CSIR NET answer key are given below.

Step 1: Visit the NTA website @csirnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Search for 'Challenge (s) regarding Answer

Step 3: The candidates then should login with their Application Number and Date of Birth and enter the security pin and as displayed and submit. 

Step 4: Select "View Answer Sheet" for marked responses and to view or challenge the Answer keys, then click the link "Challenge" button to view provisional answer keys and challenge the questions. 

Step 5: Question IDs in sequential order will be displayed

Step 6: The ID mentioned next to the question under the column 'Correct Option(s)' is for the correct Answer Key to be used by NTA. The questions that dropped are highlighted and are not for challenge. 

Step 7: If candidates wish to challenge this option, they can use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box. 

Step 8: The candidates can also upload supporting documents in which you can select 'Choose File' and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file). 

Step 9: Once the documents are uploaded, they can click on the desired option, scroll down, 'Submit and review Claims' and move to the next screen. 

Step 10: All the Option IDs that have been challenged will be displayed. 

Step 11: Select the 'Modify your Claims' option if the claims are to be modified OR 'Final Submit'. 

Step 12: Once the claims are saved, a screen displaying challenges will be visible. 

Step 13: Thereafter, pay the fee by clicking on 'Pay Now'. The claims will be saved after payment of the requisite fee. 

Step 14: Mode of payment is to be chosen and then payment is to be done (Rs.200/- for each question challenged). Available payment modes are through Debit/Credit card/ Net Banking/UPI.

Calculation for Chemical Science

• The CSIR NET previous year question paper consists of 120 questions for 200 marks
• For every correct answer in Part A and Part B, it’s 2 marks, whereas for Part C it’s 4 marks.
• For every wrong answer 0.5 marks will be deducted for Part A and Part B, whereas for Part C 1.32 marks will be deducted.
