Tras un análisis del significado de "ética", se destaca la actualidad de la ética aristotélica en la discusión filosófica contemporánea, la índole precisa del saber ético así como su método propio y se lo diferencia de los otros saberes tanto teóricos como prácticos. Posteriormente, se analiza el concepto de bien humano en relación con el deseo, el conocimiento y la libertad, y de virtud en relación con la rectitud y la verdad. A lo largo de todo artículo se subraya la especial atención que exige la ética a las circunstancias concretas, históricas y culturales de la acción humana y la actitud dialogante, abierta y flexible que requiere para dar cuenta de la variedad y complejidad del fenómeno político y moral.1Una tesis implícita es que el saber educativo es un saber ético. ABSTRACT In this article the fundamental concepts of Aristotle's ethics are exposed. After analysing the meaning of "ethics", it is pointed out the actuality of Aristotle's ethics in today's philosophical discussion, the precise character of the ethical knowledge, as well as his own method and it is distinguished from other theoretical and practical knowledge. Subsequently, the concept of human good being is analysed in relation with the desire, knowledge and freedom, and the concept of virtue in relation with rectitude and truth. Throughout the whole article it is underlined a special attention that the ethics require in concrete, historical and cultural situations of the human action and of the dialoguing attitude, open and flexible which is required to give account of the variety and complexity of the political and moral phenomenon. An implicit thesis is that the educative knowledge is an ethical one.
