Telit endorses Java ME Embedded 8

In case you missed it, Telit and Oracle last week published a customer solutions brief titled:
Telit Brings Internet of Things Technology Faster to the Automotive Market and Other Industrial Sectors Thanks to Embedded Software Platform
Key quote:
“Oracle Java SE Embedded and Oracle Java ME Embedded are the perfect platform for our 3G and 4G wireless IoT communication modules. “
Java ME Embedded is especially well suited for enabling robust and secure intelligence on the edge in resource-constrained or deeply embedded devices and is being successfully adopted across a number of use cases and industrial sectors, from remote monitoring and industrial control, to automotive and M2M communications.

Gemalto launches M2M range with Oracle Java ME 8

I totally forgot to post this announcement by Gemalto and Qualcomm from CES. Yes, it’s a few weeks old, but it has not lost any of its relevance. Quite the opposite … with the Java ME 8 release coming up soon, the momentum is building:
“Gemalto launches next generation M2M product range adding Oracle Java ME 8 solutions capability based on chipsets from Qualcomm Technologies”

SIMCom Selects Oracle Java ME Embedded for new Wireless Module SIM800

In case you missed it: Last week at JavaOne Shanghai, SIMCom announced it will integrate Oracle Java ME Embedded into its latest wireless module solution, the SIMCom SIM800.
Together with previous announcements by Gemalto/Cinterion, Qualcomm, and Telit, this now means that four of the top manufacturers of wireless modules and chipsets now support Oracle Java ME Embedded.

Qualcomm, AT&T, and Telit announce support for Java on M2M

Support for Java in the M2M space is growing rapidly.
Cinterion and Qualcomm have already announced their support for Java using the Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.2 platform.
Two days ago, Qualcomm and AT&T announced their “Internet of Everything” development platform, supporting Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.2.
Yesterday, Telit introduced two Qualcomm-based modules for global M2M markets, with support planned for Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.2 as well.
