Quality

QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality you can audit. Inside and out.

TELME runs a continuous quality improvement process across five universities — aligned with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), reviewed internally every year, audited externally every four to six years by an EQAR-accredited agency, and reported back to the European Commission.

STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT

For the five universities involved in TELME, the search for excellence is a strategic objective — not a marketing claim. Continuous quality improvement applies to every aspect of the programme: teaching, learning, research, student and staff support, administrative management, and governance.

EUROPEAN STANDARDS & GUIDELINES (ESG)

A framework we share with the rest of European higher education.

The TELME quality referential is fully aligned with the ESG and the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes (2015). It covers nine standards.

HOW IT WORKS

Two processes, one feedback loop.

An internal evaluation runs every year. An external review from an EQAR-accredited agency runs every four to six years. Both feed the same decision pipeline.

01 INTERNAL

Internal evaluation

Every academic year
DATA INPUTS
·  Annual quality report from each of the five partner universities
·  Common student questionnaire (quantitative data)
·  Feedback grids from student representatives (qualitative data)
·  Alumni surveys at 6, 18 and 30 months after graduation (from 2027)
·  Participation of students and alumni in consortium meetings
DELIVERS
A consolidated self-evaluation report
02 EXTERNAL

External review

Every 4 to 6 years
DATA INPUTS
·  Each partner’s possible national QA process (academic content)
·  TELME joint external review (all aspects of joint implementation)
·  Conducted by an EQAR-registered agency chosen by the Project Steering Board
·  First external review scheduled for 2029/2030
DELIVERS
An external audit report with site-visit findings
Both feed into
STEP 1 · ANALYSIS

Quality Committee (QC)

One representative from each of the five universities, plus students elected by their peers. The QC analyses every year’s internal evaluation, produces a summary with recommendations, and accompanies the external audit.

STEP 2 · DECISION

Project Steering Board (PSB)

The PSB receives the QC’s recommendations and the external audit conclusions. It decides on any corrective actions, ensures follow-up, and reports to the EACEA.

STAKEHOLDERS

Everyone involved is part of the review.

Quality assurance at TELME is not the work of one office. It draws on every actor inside and outside the programme.

INTERNAL
Students and student representatives

Surveyed annually, with elected representatives sitting in the Quality Committee and in consortium meetings.

INTERNAL
Academic and administrative staff

Contribute to the annual review and to documentation management. The project coordinator and project manager receive dedicated quality-assurance training and train colleagues across the five partners.

EXTERNAL
Alumni

From 2027, contribute through structured surveys at 6, 18 and 30 months after graduation, and through alumni representatives in consortium meetings.

EXTERNAL
Associated partners, employers, host organisations

Provide feedback on trainee placements, graduate readiness and curriculum relevance.

EXTERNAL
EQAR-accredited quality assurance agency

Conducts the joint external review on a 4-to-6-year cycle, starting 2029/2030. Chosen by the Project Steering Board.
