I got a box today and when I opened it I damn near fell over from the LOLing. This actually takes some explanation, so bear with me. We met in Phantom Menace fandom on the MA (Master-Apprentice) mailing list. There was a whole list sub culture of Masters and Padawans and I was known as Master Ruth. As in all my fandoms, I wrote a fair amount of TPM kink and that was also the period of time when I was doing the BDSM panel at Escapade. So, Master Sneezer wanted to give me something that reflected that image of me, so...

Also, since when did the BPAL Trading Post carry socks from Sock Dream? While I like the BPAL logo, it's more the colors on that first pair that are calling to me. I might have to make them a Spring Training present to myself. Sock Dreams also has a black, white and orange pair but I like the size of the stripes on the BPAL ones more.

Okay, off to take care of some things helens78 found while going through the next Trust!verse piece. Fic shortly, yay!

I made carnitas tongiht. My recipe might be inauthentic but it's really tasty. Someone on my flist posted their recipe a while back but I can't remember who it was and I forgot to bookmark it. Sing out if it was you, please?

In the process of making carnitas, I not only messed up the dish under my burner element, but also the element itself a little. It still works, but there's stuff burned onto it. Am I mistaken in thinking that replacing a standard electric stove burner element should be really easy?

I'm still having some thinky fannish meta thoughts, but my brain's kinda fried. I need to unfry it because I really really NEED to start writing fic again, let alone thinky fannish meta.

For the first time in something like eight years, I'm thinking about replacing my default icon. I still love my purple girl a lot and I know people still associate me with her and vice versa, but I love my black and white me icon so very much. What do you people think?

Mythbusters continues to delight. \o/ I so intend to write some Mythbusters fic for kink_bingo. ETA: They just mentioned a company that both Dad and I worked for--Areojet!
