So, back in the day, I used to print my fanfic out for easier reading. It's not that having binders of smut was all that easy, but my computer was on my desk and sometimes I wanted to read fic elsewhere.
Then, I got a Rocket ebook, which I still consider one of the best electronic devices I've ever owned--behind my laptop but ahead of my iPod Shuffle. It read a variety of formats, including html, so I could read fic on a device with a screen about the size of a paperback book. Of course, all good things must come to an end. Rocket sold out to RCA and RCA messed with the ebook until it vanished. Mine still works but the interface is antiquated enough that I can't get it to work with my current computer.
Now, of course, there are a ton of ways to read text on mobile devices. Palms and other mobile devices, some of the iPods, Sony's ebook and Amazon's brand new Kindle and even some cell phones.
But, if you want to read fan fic on any of them, you still have to do what I did when I was using my printer or my ebook. You still have to hunt fic down, dig through archives and LJ posts.
Wouldn't it be nice if you, the reader, could get it in one place? If you could hit a web page and download an author's entire body of work, all nice and cleanly formatted so all you had to do was load it on your mobile device and go? Wouldn't it be nice for you, the author, to have a place to share your work with the people who want to read it?
mobilefic is looking to take fanfic and bring it into the era of the mobile web. Right now, we're in the planning stages and will be looking for input. So if you're interested, join mobilefic or one of the mirror communities on either IJ or JF.
And please, feel free to pimp the comm to anyone else.

Hello! I've had this in my memories since you first posted it, and have made it often. We had it again last night, and it was delicious as always! Thanks for sharing it initially, and keeping it up…
