What You're Looking For, Someone Left Behind

SGA RPS AU, Joe Flanigan/David Hewlett, Torri/Rachel (possibly other pairings)

Notes: Okay this all started with comment fic in halowrites LJ after she did this lovely wallpaper based on a picture of Joe playing guitar.

It is about as close as you can come to original fic without actually using other names. While my Joe and David are somewhat influenced by John and Rodney, I really do think of this as a matter of casting those two actors (and the rest of the cast) to play these parts.

It's also a draft. I have no idea if the completed story will look like this and it hasn't seen a beta at all. Normally I wouldn't post it, but I kind of want to keep the momentum going. Also, I'm interested in what people think and what they're interested in seeing in the story. I have the bare bones of the backstory fleshed out and I know vaguely where I'm going, but it's kind of a road trip of a fic. And fittingly, the title is a line from "Back Roads" by Kate Wolf, which is a song all about taking back roads instead of the highway.

So, if you're interested, come forward in time a generation or two after a Disaster and meet Joe the Traveling Man and David the Science Guy and Rachel the Brewer and Torri the Baker and Amanda the Rancher and a ton of other people yet to come along.
