I don't suppose anyone has the ability to capture this and put it in a format that I can download? It's an embedded video. It's a fairly long interview, but I could only get through about five minutes before I couldn't take the stuttering and freezing - I could hardly understand what was being said. :-( And if no one can, that's fine and I'll keep trying to get it to play nicely with me. *frowns at it*

As it turns out, Buddha of Suburbia is a song by David Bowie [lyrics]. It has some thematic similarities with a certain Green Day song we all know and love. This lyric seems particularly telling to me: Can't tell the bullshit from the lies. :D

Considering that lyricsdirect doesn't distinguish between originals and covers, and how scandalously little I really know about Bowie's massive back catalogue, I don't know if he wrote it or someone else did. But I know that Billie Joe has named Ziggy Stardust as being influential in the past, so it's not a stretch to think that he might've been inspired by Bowie's other work, too.

I'm rather excited about this discovery, for some dorky reason! I don't suppose anyone on the f-list is a big Bowie fan and happens to have a shareable mp3 or a link to a video or something? I've never heard the song, so far as I know, and I'd like to. *bats eyelashes hopefully*

ETA: Got it! Thank youuuuu. :D
