I *did* forget something: a book! That a rather broad cross-section of my f-list might like to read when it comes out in July, including me.

Click and it gets bigger.
A raw, edgy, emotional novel about growing up punk and living to tell.
The Clash. Social Distortion. Dead Kennedys. Patti Smith. The Ramones.
Punk rock is in Emily Black’s blood. Her mother, Louisa, hit the road to follow the incendiary music scene when Emily was four months old and never came back.
Now Emily’s all grown up with a punk band of her own, determined to find the tune that will bring her mother home. Because if Louisa really is following the music, shouldn’t it lead her right back to Emily?
Stephanie's site has more detailed information, an excerpt from chapter one, and a playlist to go with. (And yes, the title is that of a Sleater-Kinney song. :D) It's being published by MTV Books. O_o I did not know that MTV did books. Interesting. And the cover is fucking awesome.

Sort of music-related, I had a programme crash on me at work today right after I entered the email address of someone whose last name was Wentz (not that one, no), and I just kind of stared at it for a minute and thought, "Figures." LOL.
