It's late this year, but the Autumnal Equinox is today, so I wish you a happy season and blessed be. ♥

Eljay is a bit of a ghost town this weekend. I'm pleased with what I accomplished last night writing-wise (even if some of it was entirely *not* premeditated! *grins*) and today I need to go run some errands and such, do some tidying, some laundry, etc.. I used a deep conditioning treatment on my hair yesterday and a) it didn't bother me at all, w00t; b) omg my hair feels so soft now. :D I'd gone to get a different product altogether - I was looking for Joico's K-Pak, which is supposed to be really great stuff, but they only sell it in a big bottle and I ain't paying $25 for something that I don't know if I'm allergic to. It's too bad they don't sell it at my salon, actually, b/c my stylist knows all about my allergies and has told me that I can return stuff for a refund if it bothers me, but they do not, so I'd picked up a single-use treatment of some other kind at a beauty supply store. I might go back and see if they still have the buy-one-get-one-50%-off thing going and get a couple more packages.

And another lipgloss, zomg. They have this 'Hot Lips glossy lip balm' by Zoya and it's exactly that: it has a nice hit of colour but it's sheer and glittery, and it's super-moisturising PLUS it stays put but it isn't grossly sticky like Lipglass or something. Seriously stays put, like I have to reapply a bit after eating but there's plenty still there after hours of smearing it on a teacup. I got 'Gypsy' before, which is a summery coral; they were out of the red so I'm hoping they have it restocked heh. Great deal, though, as it's nine bucks for a decent-sized tube and you don't need to use very much. My only quarrel is that said tube doesn't have an applicator tip, just a flat bottom, so you have to squeeze it onto your finger to apply it. However, I'm prepared to live with that. ;D

My obsession with lipgloss isn't just vanity, y'know. :P I am horribly prone to chapped lips for some ungodly reason (though it's undoubtedly because the rest of my skin - and hair! - is prone to dryness too, oh joy) and I discovered quite by accident in my early teens that plain old Bonne Belle gloss rollers stayed on better than any Chapstick-type product or Vaseline lip therapy. Thus was an addict born. The whole obsession with colour thing feeds into it too, of course, but ultimately the point for me is pretty hydration. That's why I favour gloss over any kind of standard lipstick, though I wear those, too. Not so often anymore though, come to think of it. Huh.

Speaking of pretty hydration - or at least pretty-smelling - I am nearly out of Jaqua's Buttercream Frosting body butter. OMFG, you guys, this stuff is AWESOMESAUCE. I bought a little gift set in a Make-up Shop in Portland, ME back in May (mikeyface, remember the one across the street from the hotel? Yeah, there. :D) and I used up all the hand crème during the rest of my vacation; that was okay, but not moisturising enough for me. I'm still using the shower syrup, which again I like okay but it has a bit more of a chemical scent to it; I prefer my usual mango & brown sugar scrub. The body butter, however, is fucking BRILLIANT and I am sad that I can't get any more. There are some Canadian retailers but alas, none are near me. Though Beauty Mark has half-decent shipping prices, hmm... *suspects that finding this site was a Really Bad Idea* Oh hai - there's a Kevyn Aucoin line now? I wonder who's responsible for that, being as it's posthumous. *curious now* I could be here a while! lol
