Welcome to the Workshop on Factuality!

The aim of this workshop is to create a forum to discuss different topics related to the subject of factuality. The discussion will focus especially on factuality in journalistic texts in the digital media and in textual content in social networks. 

The communications section will include the participation of researchers who will approach the subject both from the point of view of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and from a more strictly linguistic perspective.

In addition, in the round table entitled «The role of technology in fake news», journalists specialized in the verification of textual news and images, language technology communicators and developers in companies working on this field will exchange opinions on the topic. The discussion will address the advantages and limitations of the automatic tools employed, as well as the degree of knowledge and use of these tools in the daily tasks performed by journalists working in the verification departments of the media, both at Spanish and international level.
