Delicious Genovese Pizza Lunch Set!
Overall Rating: 4 stars
Since I had an afternoon off, I decided to finally try the pizza lunch set that had been on my mind for a while.
I had only eaten crepes here before, so I was really looking forward to the pizza. Plus, the lunch set is a weekday exclusive, which includes a drink and salad for an additional JPY 200, so that was my main reason for visiting.
I arrived just after 1 PM on a Thursday, and there were no other customers, allowing me to enjoy the rare experience of having the whole place to myself.
I ordered the small size Genovese pizza lunch set with a hot coffee, totaling JPY 1,250.
However, as lunch hour was nearing its end, around 2 PM, another customer came in, also to enjoy pizza, so I wondered if they were a local.
I sat at a four-person table, and shortly after, my coffee and salad arrived on a large wooden tray.
The paper cup had the same "Wanna Be" logo as the green wrapping of the crepes, which added to the ambiance.
The sugar, creamers, and syrup were all neatly arranged near the register for self-service.
There were also water pitchers both near the register and on the table (the small paper cup in the photo is for water).
The owner brought me two types of salad dressings (usually found near the register, but since I was the only customer at the time, they brought them to me). One was Italian, but I missed the explanation for the other. It was delicious, so I ended up using it twice, but I wonder what flavor it was. I should have asked on my way out.
I mistakenly ordered my coffee as takeout, but the staff asked, "Is it for after your meal?" I wanted to enjoy it with my food, so I answered accordingly.
Since the paper cup and plastic lid were served together, it seems they might use the same method for both dine-in and takeout.
The Genovese pizza, which arrived a bit later, looked quite large! But once I tasted it, the portion was just right.
The plate was quite heavy, so I had to be careful when placing it on the tray (it was served directly on the table outside the tray).
The cheese and the clams were delicious, and the pizza dough was chewy and satisfying.
I found myself wanting to try other pizzas as well...
I would be thrilled if they offered this set on days off other than weekdays (though the additional JPY 200 for the drink and salad might be an incredible deal).
Seasonal Autumn Chestnut Monaka Crepe
Overall Rating: 4 stars
I visited Wanna Be after work, eager to try their autumn limited edition crepe featured here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DPqjpndkX0a/. I wanted to go before they switched to the next seasonal offering.
When I arrived around 7 PM, the place was bustling with people enjoying tequila and other drinks, which was quite different from my previous visit—what a surprise!
I ended up opting for takeout, but the counter was available, so I might have enjoyed my crepe there instead.
The monaka (rice wafer) on top was incredibly delicious, and I found myself enjoying it even before the crepe itself. As always, the crepe was crispy and delightful, filled generously with whipped cream. I was so caught up in the deliciousness of the chestnut paste and whipped cream that I finished it before I could fully savor the salted caramel sauce—what a shame!
Next time, I hope to carve out some time on a weekday to try their pizza lunch. I'm also looking forward to their winter limited edition crepes!
Delicious seasonal Blueberry Cheesecake Yogurt Whip!
Overall Rating: 4 stars
I had been curious about the crepe mentioned in the title (https://www.instagram.com/p/DKwt2NtyT7l/) for a while, so I decided to stop by after work today. There were already a few customers dining in, and it seems like the place gets busier each time I visit.
Today, the ordering window was closed, but the owner kindly called out to me as I was waiting by the door. This was the first time I met not only the owner but also another staff member.
At first, I considered adding vanilla ice cream as a topping, but I thought it might be too indulgent for the price, so I ordered it as is. When I took a bite, I was amazed by how the whipped cream tasted just like yogurt—it was incredibly delicious! I was so impressed that I forgot to pay attention to the cheesecake, which is such a shame.
Since I rarely eat blueberries, I thoroughly enjoyed both the fruit and the sauce. Plus, the whipped cream and sauce were generously layered all the way to the bottom of the crepe, making it a delightful experience from start to finish.
I heard they’ve started selling pizza as well, so I definitely want to go back and try it. I see that the lunch set is only available on weekdays, so I’ll have to find a way to make it work!
Okonomiyaki Ham and Egg Salad!
Overall Rating: 4 stars
I saw this dish on the restaurant's Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/DF2a_twS7FE/?img_index=4) and it looked delicious, so I ended up visiting for the second time.
Today, there were about three people ahead of me and four more came in later, making it quite busy. I find it strange that no one was here last time.
...The Instagram post mentioned cash only, but now they accept various cards and payment methods.
Since there’s only one owner, I expected to wait longer, but it seems they can prepare orders simultaneously. My order was taken right after the previous customer finished.
When I mentioned, "I saw the okonomiyaki on Instagram..." they immediately responded, "Ah, the Ham Egg Salad!" It was great to know that they still make it with okonomiyaki sauce.
Even with the okonomiyaki sauce, the price for the Ham Egg Salad was still JPY 720 as listed on the menu.
I didn’t order a drink, but I noticed on the menu that if you order it with a crepe, you get a JPY 100 discount. They had coffee, tea, and Coke available.
When my dish was delivered, the owner said, "Thank you for checking us out on Instagram! This is really delicious!" which made me happy. And it truly was delicious! The combination of ham, egg, lettuce, sauce, and mayonnaise was indulgent, reaching all the way to the bottom.
I saw on their latest Instagram that "recommended toppings include mixed cheese" (https://www.instagram.com/p/DKFEdCNSb0d/), and I wish I had known that earlier!
Next time, I want to come at an earlier time and try the coffee. I peeked into the kitchen and saw what looked like a De'Longhi coffee machine, which raised my expectations.
The price range is a bit higher than my favorite Dippadan, but I understand it since this is a personal shop that focuses on the dough and ingredients.
Ham and Egg Salad with Okonomiyaki Sauce
Delicious Black Sugar & Kinako Crepe with a tasty batter!
Overall Rating: 4 stars
I had heard about a new crepe shop opening in Kiyose, and I was curious to check it out. After looking up their hours, I found out they are open until 8 PM, so I decided to stop by after work.
When I arrived, I discovered that they offer both takeout and dine-in options. Since there were no other customers, I chose to eat inside.
After much deliberation while looking at the menu outside, I decided on the Japanese-style crepe with brown sugar and kinako (soybean flour) for JPY 700. They also had a drink menu with options like coffee and Coke, but no cafe au lait.
It seems that even for dine-in, you pay at the takeout counter, and it’s a prepayment system. According to the current information on Tabelog, they only accept cash, but I was able to pay with a credit card, and it looked like various IC cards and payment apps were also accepted. I paid with my credit card and updated the store information to reflect that.
After a short wait, my crepe was brought to my table. Just like in the photos on Tabelog, it was wrapped in green paper with a stylish logo. The whipped cream on top was drizzled with kinako and brown sugar sauce, and when I took a bite with all the toppings together, it was incredibly delicious!
The crepe itself was crispy and very tasty! I believe it was made with pure wheat flour rather than the chewy rice flour I usually prefer, but it had a hint of saltiness that made it really enjoyable. The crepe was thin, but I loved the texture.
The kinako and brown sugar sauce only topped the crepe, and once I finished that, the rest was filled with whipped cream and red bean paste (which seemed to have a higher ratio of whipped cream). There was quite a bit of filling, so I recommend coming hungry.
I love whipped cream, so I thoroughly enjoyed the combination of the crepe, whipped cream, and red bean paste. I noticed some brown sugar sauce at the bottom, so it might have been layered throughout the crepe without me realizing it.
The interior had benches, tables, and counter seating, accommodating about 12 people, if I remember correctly. I sat at the farthest table, and the divider in the middle seemed to allow for shared seating. The chairs were made of a soft, plush material, making them comfortable. From the outside, it looked like a simple eat-in setup, so I was pleasantly surprised. There was also a basket for bags and a restroom available.
Additionally, there was a self-service station at the counter with a water pitcher, paper cups, and napkins. It seems they are preparing for longer stays once the pizza is ready. I’m not sure if Wi-Fi is available, as my flip phone couldn’t connect.
I also enjoy ice cream crepes, so I’d like to try one of those next time. I want to check if the sauces and fillings are not just on top but also inside. The owner (I assume) was very kind, so I’m eager to return. I mentioned to the owner on my way out that I’m looking forward to when they start serving pizza.

I learned that this crepe won an award at a local festival (https://www.instagram.com/p/DRzFrSYkSy0/), so I wanted to try it while it was still available.
On my way home after finishing work, I stopped by and, surprisingly, there was no line. I’m not sure if the hype has died down or if it was just a lucky timing.
However, there were people looking at the menu when I arrived, and some left just as I got there, while others came to buy takeout while I was eating.
The carrot crepe had the usual crispy texture, and since I tend to spill, I ended up wiping the table while eating.
(The good thing is) the crepe is quite large, so it takes some skill to eat it without bumping into the table at the start. I wonder if they would provide a plate if I asked for one; having a plate would make it easier to eat without worrying about spills.
The filling was packed with lettuce and carrots, making me feel like I had eaten a lot of salad.
So, while I didn’t feel as full as I usually do with sweet crepes, it makes sense since it was vegetable-based.
I thought that with this combination of ingredients, it would be delicious if they made it into a pizza.
Next time, I definitely want to try the limited-time tiramisu crepe!
