This standing soba shop is located at the Konan exit of Shinagawa Station.
I passed by during lunchtime and decided to stop in since it looked like a quick meal.
I ordered the Tempura (2 pieces) and Ten-Tama Soba (JPY 620).
After purchasing a ticket from the vending machine, I handed it to the staff at the counter and specified the tempura I wanted, which was served immediately.
This time, I chose burdock and pickled ginger tempura.
The soba noodles were soft, typical of standing soba shops.
The broth was a sweet bonito dashi.
The burdock tempura had a strong crunchiness, providing excellent texture and satisfaction.
The pickled ginger tempura was not in its usual form like in Kansai, but rather a chopped tempura.
I think this price for two pieces of tempura and a raw egg is quite reasonable.
On the other hand, the taste seems to have remained the same as in the past, differing from the elevated standards of recent standing soba shops.
If you're curious, it might be good to keep this in mind before visiting.
I enjoyed my meal with a sense of nostalgia.
It may not appeal to everyone in today's world, but it was delicious.
I will definitely come back.
