I went out for my first shrine visit of the year.
Since it tends to get crowded in the afternoon, I finished my visit in the morning and then thought about lunch.
To my surprise, the usual restaurant I visit was completely booked due to reservations, even though there weren’t many people around since it’s in a business district.
So I decided to check out Odaiba instead, taking a water bus under the Rainbow Bridge.
The weather was nice, so I aimed for a restaurant with a view of the Rainbow Bridge at Aqua City Odaiba.
As I walked through the hallway, I discovered a restaurant that looked like it was out of Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m not particularly a fan of the movie, but the place facing the Rainbow Bridge seemed interesting, so I decided to give it a try.
The interior was spacious and themed like a pirate ship. I was seated near a window with a great view of the Rainbow Bridge.
For the holiday lunch menu, there were five options, and it included a buffet with unlimited rice, focaccia, soup, a salad bar, a chocolate fountain, and a drink bar.
I chose the Demi-glace Cheese Hamburg steak this time.
While waiting for my main dish, I enjoyed the salad bar, the drink bar, and the beautiful scenery.
The hamburger seemed to be a simmered version. It was very tender, and the demi-glace sauce was delicious.
I couldn't resist the chocolate fountain next to the salad bar, which looked quite tempting, so I decided to indulge in dessert despite it being a bit childish for my age.
The chocolate wasn’t overly sweet and was quite tasty.
I had a delightful meal to kick off the New Year.
It was a great meal.
