Finding the location was quite tricky, so enjoy the thrill of discovering the place! Haha.
Yoshiko and the other staff were wonderful and friendly, making me feel like I was visiting a relative's house.
At Akasaka Station, you can enjoy intricately prepared obanzai by graduates of Ecole Tsuji. I had a lovely time.
I visited based on a friend's recommendation.
When I hear "obanzai," I think of simple Japanese cuisine, but the counter was stylishly gray.
It’s a sophisticated space where traditional and modern styles harmonize, allowing you to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Even though it was my first visit, Yoshiko casually struck up a conversation, making it easy to feel at home.
Let’s start with some beer.
⚫︎ Drinks
- Draft Beer SORACHI 1984
- Suppin Rumiko no Sake
- Kinmiya Bottle with Lemon Sour
⚫︎ Obanzai Dishes
- Okinawa Prefecture Fresh Mozuku Vinegar
- Nanban-zuke (marinated fish)
- Homemade Cold Tofu with Green Chili Soy Sauce
The soy sauce with sliced green chilies was irresistible.
- Simmered Iso Tsubugai (sea snail)
- Grilled Momi Ika (squid)
This was incredibly delicious and struck straight to the brain.
The richness and saltiness of the filling made me want to drink endlessly.
I couldn’t help but take a big sip of Japanese sake.
- Salted Zangi (fried chicken)
Even though it was chicken breast, it was surprisingly juicy.
- Roasted Beef from Ozaki Cattle
The light fat and soy-based sauce were simply the best.
(I should have asked for the sauce recipe... I’ll come back.)
- Salted Rice Ball
The shiny rice with just the right amount of salt reminded me of the warmth of eating at my grandmother's house during summer vacation when I was hungry.
- Nukazuke (pickled vegetables)
Turnip, cucumber, carrot.
I used to eat nukazuke made with these vegetables at a local eel restaurant, and they were delicious!
I can't make it myself, so this simple dish was truly impressive.
The obanzai, which maximized the quality of the ingredients, was rich in flavor and paired perfectly with drinks.
Additionally, there are karaoke rooms and barbecue sets on the upper floor, making it a great place for company banquets or parties with close friends.
Akasaka Obanzai Yoshiko is a new gem in Akasaka, where a calm atmosphere and lively fun blend perfectly.
I’ll definitely be back. It was a great meal!
