Restaurant highlights |
A specialty of Konan City, Shiga Prefecture, that also appeared on the Secret Kenmin Show! Curry udon with shrimp tempura and fried shrimp
Our udon soup stock is made with 15 different ingredients collected from all over Japan, in such large quantities that it is almost impossible to believe, and is therefore very cloudy. This cloudiness |
I remember going there a few years ago. It seems to be as popular as ever. This time, I ordered the specialty shrimp tempura and fried Curry Udon. It still looks amazing. I wonder why they started putting fried shrimp in it, but it's a Japanese-Western style that shrimp lovers can't get enough of. The fried shrimp with the head attached also looks Western Cuisine. Compared to Curry Udon udon at other udon restaurants, the curry soup is more spicy than the gentleness of the Japanese soup. It's medium spicy on the dry side, so it's not suitable for children. The soup is hot, so I sweat. The shrimp tempura has quite a bit of batter on it, so if you don't like it, I recommend two fried shrimp. I would like the shrimp batter to be reduced a little more. I guess that's what happens if you focus on the appearance... And the bowl is deep, so it feels like there's still plenty left no matter how much you eat. In my case, I eat rice to neutralize the spiciness, but I also think it's good to put it in the curry soup at the end. It's nice that there is plenty of cabbage on the side. There is a bit of dressing, but this is a matter of preference. I feel like it used to be a little cheaper, but with the price going up, it can't be helped. The service is generally not bad. They used to come to take our order, but now they use tablets. I'll go back when I miss the taste.
