I took the Osaka City Bus and arrived at ZuiKo 2-chome.
Nearby is ZuiKo Temple, believed to have been founded by Prince Shotoku.
Within its grounds is a cultural asset, the "Setsugeikyo" (Snow Whale Bridge), uniquely made with whale bones, which is rare both in Japan and around the world.
Behind Kansai Supermarket ZuiKo is a coffee shop called Mikko 2.
Its log cabin-like exterior contrasts with the cozy interior featuring nine L-shaped counter seats and three tables.
The floor is made of wooden planks.
Racks filled with manga can be found near the entrance and at the back of the shop.
From 6 AM to 11 AM, they offer two types of morning services.
You can choose between toast with a boiled egg or a egg sandwich, both served with a drink for only JPY 400.
Most patrons typically order the egg sandwich, and I opted for that along with a hot coffee.

The shop is run by a single mother, and Mikko is the name of the previous owner.
When I asked if there was a Mikko 1, I learned it used to exist nearby, but is no longer around.
After a short wait, my egg sandwich and hot coffee arrived.
The egg sandwich was made of four pieces of lettuce and a thin omelet between slices of 6-slice bread.
It's a thick-cut style sandwich.
The coffee was a blend from US Foods, served in a Narumi cup featuring a floral pattern.
Inside the counter, there were many coffee discount tickets, indicating that it has many regulars.
A Shogi piece from Yamagata Tendo, known as "Samuel's Piece," was placed casually as a gift from one of the customers.
I found Mikko 2. Thank you for the meal!
