On this day, I had a small year-end party with close colleagues from work.
Before COVID, we used to have year-end parties 2 to 3 times a week during the holiday season, but now large gatherings are prohibited, so most work-related year-end parties have disappeared. (•ᴗ•; )
We chose to visit Kushi Yaki Ichifuji, a hidden gem located in Tenma, as it’s not very noticeable.
The restaurant is about a 5-minute walk southwest from Shin-Fukushima Station on the JR Tozai Line, situated in a less crowded area of Fukushima.
It’s a cozy place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal across the 1st to 3rd floors, and since we had a reservation, we were seated in a tatami room on the 2nd floor.
● Toyo Course (JPY 4890, tax included, with 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink)
As a creative teppan-yaki skewers restaurant, the main skewer dishes include 12 varieties, along with one each of okonomiyaki and yakisoba.
The skewers feature a variety of ingredients such as enoki mushroom rolls, beef skewers, minced shiitake, gyoza, pork-wrapped asparagus, chicken wings, and gizzards, all of which are quite delicious!
Personally, I highly recommend the konjac with roe, as its pop-in-your-mouth texture is irresistible!
The okonomiyaki has a fluffy and creamy texture, while the yakisoba is just average.
The drink menu is also extensive, and it’s quite modern to order via QR code on your smartphone. www
According to other reviews, this all-you-can-drink course has not changed in price for the past five years, showing the restaurant's commitment to providing value.
It’s been a while since I enjoyed a banquet with an all-you-can-drink course, and it was quite nice!
