Space"Enjoying Nostalgic Moments in a Nationally Designated Tangible Cultural Property Over 120 Years Old"
At first glance, you might think, "Is this a storehouse?" The earthen-walled store, which has become rare even in the city, is a 120-year-old merchant house that has been preserved as it is. As you step inside the store, welcomed by the traditional sliding door, you find a hearth and a large cooking stove on your left. There is a "Kyakusui no Niwa" (Garden of Curved Water) on the premises where you can enjoy the view while dining. The interior remains as it was in ancient times, complete with a large kamidana (shrine), evoking a sense of nostalgia even for first-time visitors.
