Exploring Gourmet Delights in Aoyama.
This Aoyama isn't in Tokyo; it's located in the Aoyama Highlands of Iga City, Mie Prefecture. Here lies the Italian restaurant, MASTUNICOLA, situated within the Aoyama Resort. The log cabin-style venue has a charming atmosphere, but operates as a self-service system where you place your order at the counter and pick up your food when it's ready. It somewhat resembles a food court in a shopping center. I chose the Margherita and Quattro Formaggi pizzas.
After a short wait, my number was called and I went to collect my pizza. It looked delicious, although using disposable paper plates did detract a bit from the experience.
That said, the oven is a genuine one, and the pizzas were much better than I expected—truly authentic! The price was also reasonable, just over JPY 1000. It was quite tasty indeed.
While it might not directly relate to the restaurant, I should mention that the road to Menard Aoyama Resort is quite narrow and winding. I faced some difficulties passing oncoming cars along the way. If you're not confident driving, please be cautious!
