The phone number is Matsubishi Department Store's main number. |
During a trip to Tsu City in Mie Prefecture with my husband, we were looking for a place to have lunch near our hotel but had trouble finding one. By chance, we spotted a sign for a restaurant in a building we passed by, so we decided to check it out.
Since it was our first time in the area, we first searched for parking and made a loop around the building. We found a parking lot at the back that was labeled "Matsubishi Department Store Customer Parking," and that’s when we realized we were at "Matsubishi Department Store."
Upon entering the department store, we discovered that the 7th floor was a restaurant area. When we went up, we found only two restaurants. We decided to try one of them, "Le Ciel."
There were a few groups ahead of us, and it seemed quite popular. The menu offered a variety of options, including pasta, Hamburg steak lunch, and curry.
We ordered:
- Keema Curry and Cheese Hot Sandwich
- Teppan-yaki Napolitan
- Iced Coffee (set)
The staff asked, "It will take some time, is that okay?" and we replied that it was fine.
However, it was clear they were busy, and it did take a while. The two women at the next table had one finish her pasta before the other was served hers after a considerable wait.
Since there were other customers, we might have waited about 20 minutes as well. Nevertheless, the staff member was very polite, repeatedly apologizing to all customers for the wait, which felt sincere.
The Teppan-yaki Napolitan was hot and very delicious. The hot sandwich was made with a bread that seemed to be whole grain or rye rather than white bread, making it a bit hard, and the keema curry lacked a punch, giving an overall impression of being a bit bland. The set coffee was an additional JPY 220.
Only one group entered after us, so it must have been the busiest time.
Next to the register, there were handmade accessories for sale. The restaurant wasn’t very spacious, but the chairs were comfortable, and the large windows made it bright and pleasant to spend time in.
I may not be able to visit Tsu City again soon, but thank you for the meal. It was a great meal.
