| Restaurant highlights |
Established in 1955, enjoy fugu and Kyoto cuisine in a serene Japanese setting. Perfect for various banquets and sightseeing meals!
Established in 1955, Chihori is a long-standing restaurant where you can enjoy fugu dishes and seasonal Kyoto cuisine. Savor a variety of fugu preparations like "Tecchiri" (fugu hot pot) and "Tessa" (sliced fugu), along with seasonal specialties such as "Hamo Otoshi" (grilled conger eel) and "Hamo Nabe" (conger eel hot pot) during the hot months. Pair your meal with draft beer or carefully selected sake for the perfect experience. |
I made a reservation for my first visit on Saturday at 5 PM!
Upon entering the restaurant, I was guided to a private room and seated.
Since I had requested a course meal, we started with teppō (fugu skin), followed by sashimi, grilled fugu, kara-age, and then tecchiri (fugu hot pot), one dish after another!
Before finishing off, we enjoyed some fugu sake, and ended with zosui (rice porridge).
I was completely full and satisfied!
It was a great meal.
