Yamada Croquette Ten specializes in croquettes. |
Yamada Croquette Ten, a specialty croquette shop, is well-known in the neighborhood for its delicious croquettes.
Today's order:
Wagyu Beef Croquette (Beef Croquette)
This is their signature dish and a classic croquette. The quality of the potatoes and the frying method are both exceptional, resulting in a croquette that is delicious from the outside in, with perfect texture, flavor, and sweetness. You can even feel a slight chewiness. Despite being a classic croquette, it is simply delicious. This is my overall impression, and I highly recommend it to croquette lovers.
Yokai Croquette (Eight)
This is a black-coated croquette known as Yokai Croquette, and there seem to be three varieties. I ordered the Eight, which has a curry flavor and is generously filled with cheese, combined with the sweetness of the potatoes. The blend of potato, curry, and cheese is exquisite, spreading in my mouth and nose with every bite.
While the outer coating is black, I felt it was not particularly different from a regular croquette. The black-coated Yokai Croquette comes in two types: the regular Yokai Croquette and the Yokai Croquette (Angry). I am quite curious about the "Angry" one and plan to try it next time.
Both the Wagyu Beef Croquette and the Yokai Croquette don’t have a significant difference in terms of croquette essence, but the flavors and essence of the potatoes inside vary, making it very appealing to enjoy a variety of tastes within the croquettes.
Since they fry the croquettes after you order, there might be a bit of a wait, and if it's busy, you could wait for several minutes. However, I understand why so many people crave these addictive croquettes.
They are served piping hot, but I recommend reheating them a bit if they cool down after you get home.
Croquettes are best enjoyed hot!
I truly experienced the deliciousness of the potatoes that only a specialty croquette shop can offer.
