Today, I visited my favorite okonomiyaki spot, Hana Tanuki, located near my home.
Although I've been going there for a while and would prefer to keep it to myself, it's a cozy place where I always know what to order, which makes for a very relaxed experience.
What I particularly love is the "Nama Liver," along with my favorites, "Hoso Yaki" and "Garlic Suji." There's also a specialty dish called "Tanuki Yaki," which is a style of okonomiyaki, but I find the teppan-yaki dishes are even better, so I usually stick to my three regulars and save the okonomiyaki for the end.
The Garlic Suji is especially remarkable; it seems to be stir-fried homemade suji stewed with fresh garlic and then tossed with green onions at the end. It's exquisite, and you could say that this dish alone is why I keep coming back.
By the way, I thought I was the only one ordering these three dishes, but on my last visit, the person next to me also placed the same order. It seems these are well-loved dishes!
I highly recommend everyone to try them. I'm sure you'll understand what I mean.
