Charcoal-Grilled Delicacies and Sake & Wine with Handpicked Ingredients... Exceptional Hospitality in Gion, Kyoto
At "Nakamura: Sake, Wine, and Charcoal Grilled," you can enjoy carefully selected ingredients gathered by the skilled chef and owner, Noriyuki Nakamura, from all over the country, simply grilled over charcoal. |
This hidden bar has only six counter seats and offers an omakase menu.
Specializing in charcoal-grilled dishes, the menu primarily features Japanese cuisine, but also includes items like chicken liver mousse and grilled lamb.
When it comes to drinks, you'll be pleased to find that both wine and Japanese sake pair well with the food.
The owner is a wine enthusiast, so there’s a wide selection of wines available.
They even introduced me to some sake from Shiga that I had never tried before, which was a delightful experience.
For the finale, you can choose from udon, ramen, or curry, and they even allow for a little indulgence with a taste of each.
We shared one bottle of white wine, a few glasses of sparkling and Burgundy red, three servings of sake, and several beers, all for around JPY 18,000 per person.
With this quality of food and drink, the cost performance is excellent.
