I ordered the SALAO Special Course, which includes lobster croquettes, and confidently chose the main dish: Adult Chicken Rice with a bitter sauce.
Appetizer...
The assorted platter featured a classic combination of quiche, pork terrine, and prosciutto, making it perfect as an accompaniment to drinks.
Lobster Croquette...
This croquette truly captures the texture of lobster, providing a delightful taste of the seafood. Naturally, I ended up ordering white wine to complement it.
Soup...
On that day, we had pumpkin soup. Though I didn't order it, it's rare to have miso soup as an option.
Adult Chicken Rice...
As expected, it's incredibly delicious and pairs perfectly with red wine. The chicken has a crispy surface, and the rich demi-glace sauce has a slight bitterness. The rice cooked in chicken broth is exceptional.
It's clear that the chef pours a lot of thought into this dish.
Finally, I enjoyed ice cream and coffee.
The pricing is casual compared to the high quality of the food. The glass of wine is also reasonably priced at JPY 600, but unfortunately, the wine didn’t match the quality of the dishes. I would prefer a higher-grade wine to complement the meal.
I visited alone on a trip, and although I initially thought I might feel out of place among the many women dining, I surprisingly discovered other solo male customers as well, making it a relaxing experience.
