I have a deep love for Ooyasu's rural pickles, which are a favorite at my family's home, so I decided to stop by at Kyoto Station.
Originally, I intended to visit the shop near Heian Shrine, where I enjoyed some samples but didn’t end up making a purchase.
In the end, I bought some right before getting on the train at Kyoto Station.
Ah, summer!
Pickles with edamame and chili?
The slight spiciness made my decision easy!
Instead of chirimen sansho, I opted for the small shrimp sansho?
I was drawn in by the aroma of the small shrimp and my love for sansho, which led me to make a quick decision!
I initially entered the shop to purchase the pickles made with nagaimo (Japanese yam).
Of course, I had to get the dependable yuzu nagaimo.
It’s refreshing!
Overall, it turned out to be a very summery shopping experience.
