We all gathered at a genuine teppan-yaki restaurant where the chef prepares the dishes right in front of you at the countertop. The flames during the cooking process really enhance the atmosphere.
We ordered an assorted platter of appetizers, an assorted platter of vegetables, a main course featuring strip loin steak, seafood assortment, garlic rice, and bread.
The appetizers and vegetables were beautifully presented, making them visually appealing and delicious. They paired wonderfully with our beers and wines.
As the seafood and the strip loin steak were grilled right before our eyes, our appetites grew even more. Unsurprisingly, everything had a lovely texture and was incredibly tasty.
For the final touch, we enjoyed the garlic rice! The aroma was wonderful. It was rich from the steak’s fat, making it delicious as well. However, as the meal progressed, I began to feel a bit overwhelmed by the richness.
In such moments, the refreshing pickles and miso soup with red miso came to the rescue, helping me finish every last bite. It was a delicious and satisfying night in Hakone. It was a great meal!
