I heard that Fridays feature a steak lunch, so I decided to check it out. I arrived around 11:32 AM and found a woman dining alone ahead of me. A middle-aged lady guided me to a two-person table at the back of the restaurant. I ordered the steak lunch (JPY 1,300) after the owner called out from the kitchen. More customers kept arriving, most of whom also ordered the steak lunch, and there were quite a few women among them. It seems like a family-run business.
Within about three minutes, I received my salad and soup, and after another five minutes, the steak was served. It was larger and more substantial than I expected. The staff poured sauce over the steak at the table, and I had to cover myself with a napkin to avoid splashes. Once everything settled down, I dug in. While I didn’t have high expectations for the meat, it was more than satisfactory for the price. The rice was generous as well, and I finished my meal feeling quite satisfied.
I wonder what the other days are like. I’d like to try it again. I was very satisfied. It was a great meal.
