| The opening day |
1998.10.10 |
After exploring the area around Marugame Station and relaxing at the hotel for a bit, I headed out for a late dinner.
However, there was nothing open in front of the station.
Marugame at night is quite peaceful.
Upon checking, I found that there were a few restaurants within a kilometer, so I decided to try Wanryu Ramen.
The restaurant was bustling with groups enjoying drinks and solo diners.
Ordering was done through a QR code on my phone!
It seems like QR ordering is becoming more common these days, but I’m still getting used to it.
Since it was probably my first visit, I ordered the simple Wanryu Ramen along with free kimchi, rice, and gyoza!
My order arrived in about five minutes!
The broth had a nice seafood flavor, and the noodles were medium-thick.
It was very simple and had a familiar taste.
The gyoza was a great addition to the meal.
Ramen and gyoza really do go well together.
Adding the free kimchi gave it a nice kick of spiciness and acidity, making it a perfect summer accent.
They are open late, which is great since udon shops close early in the afternoon.
This place is ideal for a late dinner or a light drink, and it’s conveniently located near the station, so I highly recommend it if you visit Marugame.
