Rest stop Tono Kaze no Oka reopened on April 3, 2021 with a new look. Both the facility and parking space have been greatly expanded to approximately 1.3 times the previous size, and the interior is decorated in the style of an old private house, with yokai (ghosts) scattered throughout the space, creating a sense of "Tono".
The expanded produce section offers an even wider variety of fresh seasonal vegetables. The food hall will feature five authentic food and beverage booths, where visitors can enjoy a wide range of food such as soba noodles, Seafood, Soft serve ice cream, and more. In addition, visitors can enjoy Tono's famous "bucket Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate)" while viewing the Sarugaishi River on the observation deck.
