Great taste and excellent value
At Donsan Tei in Shinjuku, there are three dining options of steak, hamburg steak, and Yakiniku Shabushabu, all conveniently located in the same area. On weekends and holidays, you can usually get a seat without a reservation, which is a wonderful arrangement.
I often dine at the Yakiniku Shabushabu section, and I have two tips to share:
1. Sign up for the email membership.
You can enjoy free beer, and sometimes there are special days with half-off highballs in the newsletter.
2. When placing your order, you'll be asked about drinks, but if you order normally, they arrive almost instantly. So, if you're drinking, it's better to order after the meat arrives. It’s a bit sad to have the tongue served when you still have beer left!
The taste is delicious. I highly recommend the Assorted Platter Set Meal!

I forgot to take a photo, but the strip loin prepared in a sukiyaki style was delicious. Please visit on Sunday for the discount!
It's nice that they first ask about drinks, but they serve them before the meat arrives, so there I am, half done with my beer and no food yet. (Though sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for...)
Overall, I tend to order too much, which makes it pricey, but considering the quality, it's a great value. It was a great meal!
