This popular Chinese restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a building lined with the Hotel Nikko.
The spacious interior has 120 seats, accommodating a large number of guests.
On this day, it was nearly full, creating a lively atmosphere reminiscent of authentic Taiwanese dining!
As many reviews mention, the menu focuses on great value for money!
Every dish is packed with generous portions!
We enjoyed the herbal hot pot shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat for JPY 4,500.
The special Wagyu shoulder, pork, chicken, lamb, fish balls, assorted vegetables, noodles, and rice are all included in the buffet!
The initial serving was incredible in size!
By the way, one of the Chinese dining etiquettes suggests leaving some food uneaten on your plate, doesn’t it?
That’s exactly how it felt!

You can choose from 5 types of hot pot broth, and additional sauces for flavor adjustment (extra charge) are available too.
We selected the most popular combination:

Although the flavors aren't tailored to Japanese tastes, every broth was delicious and couldn't be faulted!
Of course, it pairs perfectly with alcoholic beverages too!
I feel like I discovered the secret behind the popularity of Dai Hakata Chuka-gai this time!
I’m looking forward to trying other small dishes and dim sum on my next visit.
Their lunch offerings are hearty and highly rated as well!
