To commemorate that, I'm adding my visit to Isola from February 2015!
Once again, I came by for dinner before meeting a friend, singing, "Dreaming of Isola~ Eating at Isola~!"
<The dishes I enjoyed this time>
◆ Baked Eggplant and Cheese... Though there’s only one type of cheese,
this is truly the definition of 'fluffy and creamy' formaggi! (laughs)
◆ Margherita Pizza... The pizza here is still delicious as ever.
The saltiness is moderate and the texture isn’t too chewy, which I love!
◆ Roast Lamb... It was tasty, but this time it felt a bit overcooked.
◆ A full bottle of red wine... It’s called "ISOLA," just like the restaurant!
The staff are as friendly and kind as always!
Although my favorite waitress from 289 wasn’t there that day,
(they went for her again!!! How shocking!)
everyone else was wonderfully friendly, making for a delightful experience.
Next, I'm off to meet my friend who came over from Chiba!
I’ll be sure to offer 'Omotenashi' with a spirit of 'Ichigo-Ichie'!

Today’s story begins with a flashback to August 2013.
That day, after watching "The Wind Rises" at Midland Cinema,
I went down to the restaurant floor for lunch.
Yumi's song was still playing in 289’s head.
♪ Hey, Yumi, look this way~♪ (burst of laughter)
(Wait, that’s Moomin!!! How silly!)
As I walked along the restaurant floor, soaking in the afterglow of the movie,
I thought I heard someone say, "Why not drop by? I have some good wine."
It was as if Count Caproni called out to me... (laughing)
(Oh boy, was that just my imagination? I was too absorbed in the moment! How silly!)
"What? Good wine!?" I quickly returned to reality,
only to find myself standing in front of "ISOLA".
If the goblet-drinking count asked me, "Would you like to indulge?"
(That’s right! Count Caproni said "drop by!")
there’s no way I could resist getting drunk here at Isola! (laughs)
My thoughts shifted from soaking in the afterglow of "The Wind Rises"
to drowning in the intoxication of "The Wind Rises Away"! (explosion of laughter)

So I entered Isola with my wife!
Amid the crowded lunch hour, we were lucky to find an empty spot,
and a cute waitress joyfully led us to that table.
More on that later, but her attentiveness and pleasantness are top-notch!
First up... "Order! Weekend Limited Share Lunch!"
(With a flair, like Nakai-kun from Bistro SMAP! Ringing the bell too! Laughs)
On the side, I ordered some wine by decanter! (←On the side?)
From the select house wines, I chose the waitress's recommendation!
For JPY 1800, it was delicious enough not to feel cheap!

Thoughts on the dishes: the Caesar Salad was rather standard.
The grilled chicken was a bit underwhelming, which was a bit disappointing. But, but, but...
♪ That doesn’t matter! ♪ (like Yoshio Kojima here! So outdated.)
These dishes more than made up for it; the pizza and pasta were superb!
The scallop and spinach cream pasta was excellently balanced in taste and doneness!
The seasonal vegetable pizza was not only beautiful but also delicious~!
As mentioned earlier, the waitress was friendly and attentive!
Her smiling service, dealing with bags, bringing out the dishes,
participating in conversations during the meal, and promptly refilling our wine...
Everything was just effortlessly delightful.
Despite the narrow table spacing and tight aisles,
the welcoming service made it feel entirely comfortable.
With such a lovely and cute waitress, who could resist?
Even without a shovel, you’d surely fall in love! ♥♥♥ (laughing)
(Wait, that’s a different kind of digging! You don't need a shovel for love! How silly!)
So, I came to love Isola’s dishes and service,
and I vowed to come back again!

I returned in January 2014 for dinner while singing.
This time, the waitress looked after me in every possible way.

(Definitely not!!! Absolutely not!!!)
I visited this time again with my wife. Here’s what we enjoyed:
◆ Seasonal Vegetable Pizza JPY 1570... Still as beautiful and delicious as always!
Was the salt reduced compared to last time? Are they changing it seasonally?
◆ Linguine with Pesce alla Pescatore JPY 1680... Small, but the shrimp is amazing!
The linguine soaked in seafood flavors was irresistible!
The mussels were out of season so they were a bit small, but that’s understood.
◆ Roast Lamb JPY 1800... Winner! Best of Lamb!
This was truly the best! Seriously amazing!
Crispy on the outside, juicy as can be, with a perfect hint of lamb flavor.
And the meat around the bone was just phenomenal!
As a lamb lover, I absolutely adored it!
◆ Pane JPY 250... If you don’t know what this is, it’s pane! (laughing)
Just kidding, it’s a bread shaped like pizza dough.
The flavor of this stick bread is boooon! (laughs)
◆ Affogato JPY 750... You can optionally flambé it with rum or liqueur,
served right in front of you—a grown-up’s affogato.
◆ Beer JPY 750 ◆ Red Wine (bottle) JPY 3800
Dinner was incredibly enjoyable and delightful!
The roast lamb was truly exceptional!
Meeting with such delightful dishes and the lovely waitress was all thanks to Count Caproni stopping me! (laughs)
Thinking of that, I wanted to stay for another drink...
After all, you have to finish Italian meals with grappa! (laughing)
289: "Hey, can I have some grappa to finish?
I’ve only had a sip or two of the wine so far!"
289's wife: "Are you crazy?! Don't joke around! What you've done is,
