"Network Ten has confirmed the rumours - So You Think You Can Dance Australia has been axed from its 2011 line-up after poor ratings in 2010.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph , a network spokesperson said, "We have officially decided not to go ahead with So You Think You Can Dance Australia for 2011 but continue discussions with FremantleMedia Australia regarding the show's future beyond this point."

It isn't all bad news for dance fans, with Got To Dance set to begin filming in Australia later this year. The show, scheduled to air on FOX8, is said to feature local dance icon Adam Garcia as a judge, who already judges the British incarnation of the dance talent show.

So You Think You Can Dance Australia 's cancellation makes way for a new reality talent series on Ten's schedule inspired by massive hit Glee .

Don't Stop Believing will pit large, Glee -like performance groups against each other week-to-week, promising "dazzling musical arrangements" and "killer, must-see performances".

"Australians have proven time and again that we are an extremely talented country in so many areas, and we expect to discover musical groups and individuals who have come from the most surprising places," David Mott, Chief Programming Officer at Network Ten teased.
