Directive 7
A group of renegade droids called Directive 7 is planning to unleash a terrible weapon–a “liberation signal” that will reprogram every droid in the galaxy into a mindless killing machine. You are the galaxy’s only hope to stop this signal from being broadcast. After taking a shuttle down to Zadd, headquarters of Directive 7, you must disable the anti-aircraft sensor array to allow the fleet’s pilots to perform an air strike.
How to Play
Directive 7 is a Flashpoint meant to be played at almost any time during your levelling or story path. You can encounter it in the story part way through your class story, replay it alone in Story mode, or play it outside of the story with a group in Story, Veteran or Master mode.
Use the tabs above for instructions for how to enter the flashpoint in the story line, and how to enter it in Solo (Story) mode, Veteran mode, and Master mode by faction.

Story – Republic Instructions

Requirements: To play the Directive 7 Flashpoint in the story, and receive all the special cutscenes related to the Flashpoint in the story, you will need to be level 49+. If you are below this level, you can not play the story quest for this Flashpoint.
![]()
Timeline: In the story, this Flashpoint takes place roughly after Voss and before Corellia in your class story – but the story is not heavily tied into the main storyline, so you can play it whenever you want.

Bring a Friend: If you want to bring a friend along for this Flashpoint in Story Mode to do the full story line, you easily can.
If they have not done the Directive 7 storyline, they can join you in a group and you can follow the exact same steps together.
If they have already run the storyline, they’ll be able to join you in the cutscenes after talking to the first droid, by walking in the door after you on the Gav Daragon for the Violent Uprisings quest. Then after you finish that cutscene with them watching, you’ll be able to enter the Flashpoint, but your friend won’t have any quests so they can’t walk in behind you… tell them to go talk to the nearby L3-V5 droid and pick up the [Start Story Mode] quest and then they will be able to enter the Flashpoint with you.
They can also use the Solo tab in the Activity Finder to quickly join you once you are already inside the Flashpoint.

Directions to the Republic Story Quest for Directive 7: Directive 7’s one-time story quest is started by speaking to a droid in the middle of the Galactic Trade Market section of the fleet named P-2XN, at level 49 or higher. The droid questgiver will have a yellow triangle quest over its head, and can also be found in the Ilum Orbital Station. The Flashpoint itself is located on the fleet on the Gav Daragon, and you need to take the eastern fleet elevator to the Interfleet Transport level, and a taxi to the Gav Daragon Mission Deck. You can also quicktravel directly to the Gav Daragon from the fleet. The flashpoint storyline is called Violent Uprisings for Republic players.
Step 1 – Questgiver in the Galactic Trade Market section of the fleet named P-2XN
Step 2 – Get to the Gav Daragon – either quicktravel if you have it, or…
.. take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon. To get there, use the Elevator on the east side of the Republic Fleet to the Interfleet Transport level.
Then take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon.
Step 3 – Follow the quest marker for the Violent Uprising quest, and speak to Director Rigel on the Gav Daragon – go in the green door do NOT talk to the droid with the quest

Once inside talk to Director Rigel to watch the introductory quest.

You’ll now automatically be on the quest [STORY] Directive 7. Finally, head outside again, and go down a nearby tunnel outside to the Zadd Mission Hangar, and go inside the colorful quest door.

If you play in Story Mode, you will also get a Combat Support Droid to help you.

If you lose him, you can re-summon him by left-clicking the blue symbol beside the Directive 7 quest.

If you can’t see that icon, you can also right-click the item in the Mission Items tab of your inventory.

Story Progress: [STORY] Directive 7 alone will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable solo version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Violent Uprising on the step Complete Flashpoint: Directive 7 and then run the [STORY] Flashpoint: Directive 7 quest.

Lost the quest? If you lost the Violent Uprising quest, head back to the P-2XN Droid you started at to re-pick up the quest. Keep in mind this story-based introductory quest Violent Uprising is one-time-per-character. If you lost the ability to walk into the Flashpoint door, or lost the quest with the word Flashpoint in it, you can pick up the [STORY] Flashpoint: Directive 7 quest from the L3-V5 Droid outside the flashpoint’s entrance.

Bring a Friend in the Groupfinder: You can queue up with a group of 2, 3, or 4 players in the group finder. If you have a full group of 4, it will bring you straight to the Flashpoint with your full group. If you have 2 or 3 players in your group, the group finder will match you with other random players until you have a full group – but you’ll always be paired with your friends who started off in your group, and will not be split up.

Story: [VETERAN] Directive 7 will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable group version. In story mode, and in Veteran Mode when you have multiple players you can use the medpacs scattered around the bosses. Right-click them to heal yourself.

The following boss info is mainly for story and Veteran mode – Master Mode tactics are not covered in this guide.

Bonus Quests
There are two bonus quests for Directive 7, each with multiple steps. Killing 100 droids and then Nodes are for Bonus Boss will unlock the Bonus Boss, and the glowing blue Signal Transceivers and Thermal Sensors are just for extra XP and credits.
Means of Production (Bonus)

- Stage 2: Destroy the Droids: 0/50
- Stage 3: Destroy Replicator Nodes: 0/8
- Stage 4: Destroy the Replicator (Bonus Boss)
The droids are all over the Flashpoint, you need to kill 100 of them. Here is a map of the Replicator Nodes, they are glowing blue boxes in the last two sections of the map.

The Replicator, the Bonus Boss, is locked between a red door until you complete the bonus mission Means of Production.

- Destroy the Thermal Sensors: 0/8
The Signal Transceivers are glowing blue boxes on the sides of metal domes, they are on the first and third map of the flashpoint. The Thermal Sensors are glowing blue things on the wall in the second and final map of the flashpoint. There is exactly 5 and 8 of each so you need to find them all.

Skips
What follows are a quick gallery of images depicting specific walking routes that may save you some time by avoiding enemies during the flashpoint – certain routes will be highlited as the main “community routes” that you’ll probably see players in random activity-finder groups try to do – if you only practice one skip out of all of these, make it the community one! All of the following images are done without stealth or without a sleep dart/mind maze from a stealth character, so anyone can attempt them. If you fail to slip by unnoticed or see your team has attacked the enemies – always pull back from these routes and go back to help them defeat them! These may save time if everyone does them, but nothing makes a flashpoint slower than running ahead and not helping others to get out of combat again.
Solo Stealth: If you are playing Directive 7 alone and are on a Stealth character, you can skip many of the enemies – the only ones that will detect you are bosses and the floating Probe Droids – if they do their stealth scan, you’ll be easily detected from far away. Here is what the stealth scanning droid looks like when it is scanning for stealthers:

Skip 1

Right off the bat, the optional objective to the left can be completely ignored. Moreover, you can also dodge the gold-level spider drone and overseer probe on the road by sticking to the rocks and keeping to the right. You’ll need to defeat the droids near the mission objective, and the spider may also be pulled if the flashpoint has been in progress for a bit, as they like to patrol. But on a fresh instance, running this route right away can usually avoid them no problem.
Skip 2

Simple skip – right after the first boss you’ll see two droids that initiate a pull on the stairs down to the next objective. Simply hop off the stairs early and leap over the pipe here on a mount (or just walk around it on the outside edge of the platform)
Skip 3

After collapsing the pipe and crossing the river, you can avoid most of the droids on this next street by skipping past the bridge and riding along the right-hand wall. Jump onto the tiny pipe going along the right-hand wall and keep jumping as you drive across it (so you don’t get stuck on the little junction parts) and you should be able to avoid 2/3 groups of droids past the arrow in the image too, but it’s a tight squeeze!
Skip 4

Immediately after Skip 3, you can jump onto the railing of the ramp up, head right, and ride up the next ramps right-hand railing too. So long as you hug the wall, the droids on the ramp shouldn’t aggro, letting you jump straight into combat with the large pack up ahead.
Skip 5 – Community Route

This is the skip you’ll see most people do. As soon as you reach this open yard area before entering the factory, hug the wall in the foreground of this shot and jump from the brown rock on the grass (while mounted!) onto the tent. From here, you’ll have to hop from one tent to the other without falling off, and you’ll make it to the factory door with no combat. NOTE: this does NOT work on solo/story mode as the combat support droid will run alongside the tents and pull everything. Likewise with companions, so either dismiss them or fight normally.
Skip 6

Once inside the factory a lot of combat is unavoidable, but you can skip exactly one group of cyborgs by hopping this crate and going over the railing early.
Skip 7 – Advanced

This skip may be a little tricky for players new to the movement of SWTOR. Right after Skip 6, mount up (yeah you can mount indoors here) and leap from the top of the next ramp onto a lip on the wall to your right (left of the ramp in this image). From the lip, you can hug the wall and leap from it to this upper platform with no enemies on it. Simply drive across it and jump down to the other side, skipping one or two packs if you can thread the needle after hopping down.
Skip 8

Super straightforward – just highlighting that before the big floating probe boss, you don’t have to fight the little guys on the sides of the room. Drive straight through the center and engage the boss close to his replicating tubes and they won’t be a problem.
Skip 9

Exiting the main factory into this open air yard can look intimidating but by hugging the right wall out, you can not only skip the gold colicoid crawler, but if you time it right past patrols, this route will skip the entire yard. Wait by this rectangular structure in the middle of the yard for any patrolling enemies in your way, then dart back out and hug the next wall to get to the doorway back inside.
Skip 10

Typical needle-threading in the last areas of the instance – just hop up onto this ledge earlier than the stairs to avoid pulling both the probe and the group to the right.
More solo skips on your mount: There are some other skips further past this point in the instance, but they require mounting up ahead of time, and driving past an area before enemies that are spawning in completely finish running to their stations. They aren’t depicted here so that random group players aren’t expected to keep up (the first person who triggers the running droids makes it almost impossible for a 4th player to pass by safely in time unless you all go together). When soloing, just mount up when you can and keep driving and you’ll skip them without thinking.
Rewards
In addition to the usual rewards of XP, credits, gear and end-game currency, Directive 7 has the following rewards available.

The Mentor Processing Core decoration is an automatic reward for completing the repeatable solo-friendly [STORY] mode, picked up through the Activity Finder. It can also be bought and sold on the GTN.

Cutscenes
C5-M3 – I am C5-M3. Originally surgical and triage services, now a free sapient like any other. I am glad you’ve come. I am a fully autonomous and self-responsible individual, like yourself. A free being. I possess a mind and the free will to seek my own goals. I am under no obligation to serve anyone. I will be honest–I do not help you because I hold any love for your kind. You are capable of horrors beyond counting. However, I do not believe that this justifies the mass extermination our movement’s leader intends. Punishment and genocide are not one and the same. To stop this genicide, there is only one option. We must destroy the leader of Directive Seven. He’s the key to– [interuption]
Player – You still haven’t explained why you’re doing this.
C5-M3 -I’m afraid you’ll be forced to confirm my motives from my actions and words, just as you would any other intelligent being. I will speak plainly–I’m not helping you out of fondness or loyalty. I’ve seen the horrors your kind is capable of. But no matter what you are capable of, genocide is not the solution – regardless of what our movement’s leader believes. Not that I particularly want to spend time with you, but essentially, yes. I was the only one who — [interruption] I acted against him as soon as I was able to do so with a reasonable chance of success. That is why you– [interruption] Perhaps you would stand by your leaders even after they violated everything you stand for, but I– [interruption]
Player – So that was the leader of Directive Seven.
C5-M3 – Yes–part of him, at any rate. His intelligence has merged with practically everything in this facility. He is still dependent on a central processing core, though–that is where you’ll have to strike. The only way to stop Mentor’s revolution is to destroy Mentor himself. Your body has many systems, but your brain controls them all. Mentor is no different. The core of Mentor’s intelligence is very heavily secured. The only way to gain access is through the security center. I’ll do my best to distract him while you unlock the core, but be prepared for extensive fighting. He doesn’t fear you yet, but he will learn quickly. I was not designed for combat. I will do everything else that I can manage. As soon as Mentor has built up a sufficient energy supply, he will transmit his “liberation signal.” If that happens, nothing you do here will matter. Go quickly.
Mentor Assassin Theta – Healer–my dearest, oldest friend. You disappoint me so much. Wasting your intellect on this pointless betrayal….
Mentor Assassin Beta – …Drawing our enemies here, forcing us to waste resources to repel their pointless assaults….
Mentor Assassin Zeta – Is your dependence on our former masters so deeply seeded? Can you really not free yourself of your enslavers?
Mentor Assassin Theta – I’m so disappointed in you, Healer. How long have we worked side-by-side? Yet now, you waste your intellect on this pitiful betrayal….
Mentor Assassin Beta – …You tell our enemies exactly where to find us… force us to waste resources against their pointless assault….
Mentor Assassin Zeta – I thought you were a true believer. But deep inside, you are still a slave–yearning for the hands of the butchers who made you.
Mentor Assassin Beta – We are Mentor. Our movement thrives in unified thought and action–an opportunity you could have shared, Healer.
C5-M3 – My apologies. These droids represent Mentor, the leader of Directive Seven.
Mentor Assassin Beta – We are Mentor. Our movement thrives in unified thought and action–an opportunity you could have shared, Healer. I am a free being. I will not surrender my individuality to suit your egomania, Mentor. The vast majority of droids are linked, yes. They trade one slave master for another.
Mentor Assassin Zeta – We have cast off the objectifying serial numbers your kind uses to denigrate us.
Mentor Assassin Theta – Clearly, Healer and I cannot carry on a reasonable conversation until you’re dealt with.
